That's not exactly news but more like an ad. Anyway, that's my opinion...

In reply to Comment 1 (Samface):
Nah, it's a valid news item alright. We're nearly in September, so it makes sense to announce the month's shows at which Pegasos will be demonstrated.
Let's face it, if Eyetech did something similar, it would be a reasonable news item also.

It's telling us where and when they will demonstrate their product which of course is marketing. But then, like Bill Hogget said a few posts ago, there's no difference with when there are news about the AmigaOne.

I'm tired of him, Ryu... Every time a MorphOS or Pegasos news item appears,
he will find something to say. And this something never is "well done, they
did a good job". Either direct flamebaits, or "neutral" statements that are
anything but neutral. And what pisses me off is that if the thread becomes
too big and he gets tired of it, he pretends that he's an innocent guy between
2 sides fighting and that he never said anything wrong.
Sorry, but that's the truth, as he always confirms it.

so you feel you need to stoop to "his level" in order to seek some form of personal revenge.
Does that not make you as bad as he is?
P.S. I am not saying samface does what he is accused of, I dont read ANN enough to know, i tend to
avoid long threads as i have learnt they are usually full of nothing but flames

It's odd that the world's largest Amiga market (Great Britain) has been left out - 7 million Amigas sold in 10 years.

Flaming aside, I think it is great that the Pegasos crew are taking the time to visit all these different locations and show the product to people. Not only is it good marketing by them, it is also in support of various user group activities. This is something Petro used to be good at, and has been sorely missed with the current Amiga Inc. I just hope AmigaOne will be demonstrated as frequently in the future.
As for England and other venues, I'm sure Thendic would love to attend should someone from England invite them to their event.

There is an Amiga show in Essex, England in November (I *think*). I would definately attend this show if the Pegasos crew were there.

So 7 million out 3.5 million Amigas made were sold in GB ???
It is right that the GB-market was the biggest in sold units, but it was also
one with a very high rate of standard-A500/1200-game-kids, while the US-market
was dominated by big-box-Amigas, and the german market had allmost the numbers
of the UK, but also a fairly high number of big boxes.
But thats all long gone ....

IIRC, this list was only for machines sold until late 1993, or thereabouts. I seem to remember posting this to ANN a long time ago (back when the second "N" stood for Usenet), but it's probably too much trouble looking for an exact date.

LOL! And I thought mud-slinging and personal insults didn't belong here... But then, I can see why Mr. Anonymous doesn't have to worry about that.
A course in logic, lesson 1:
Two people are attending a forum. One person throw personal insults while the other person ignores the first person's aggression. If you must complain at one of these two personalities, why would it make sense to complain at the one that is ignoring the provocations and trying to keep the argument at a civilized level?
