Pianeta Amiga is a disintossication show for italian amiga friends :D
This year the real show was the Pegasos and Morphos (of course), while the real mediocre thing was the semi-OS4 show: some componets that runs in alpha stage on 68k processor (intuition-visualprefs, hdtoolbox, magicmenu) :(
A lot of italian developers and professional amiga users abbandoned the place where the "alpha-beta" demonstration was in action, disgusted by the vision of "68k software in 2002?" (Nicola Salmoria speech). Only Moovid ran on the 604 of the PPC board.
On te other hand ... Morphos booted (with a good loocking desktop) in 2 secs (really 2!!!) and ran fast both frogger.mos with a divx (700x400 with 0 frameskip!) that 68k software (due too the good Jit implemantation)... and these happened while a lot of debug information was sent on the serial !!!
Just to keep a last information: Sysspeed give a value of 36 for the emulated Cpu, the graphics test outperform anything thx to the combo Cgx5 + ATI Radeon and the 20 Gb Maxtor signed a 30 Mb/s of transfer rate.
... The morphos and Pegasos ran, while the Amigaone prototype lied behind a glass. The Os4 can not be judged simply because it is actually only a project, not even an alpha software.
At the end the real street price to preord a Pegasos or an AmigaOne:
--Pegasos, with NOT soldered g3 600 upgradable to G4, with 2 firewire ports, 2 usb 2.0 ports, an irdra port, integrated sound (the panel under morphos is too similar to teht of Windows!!! :P), serials, parallel, Agp, Pci slots etc etc: 699euro.
--AmigaOne with a soldered (NOT upgradable) G3600, without firewire, without Irdra, without integrated sound, plus Agp, Pci, serial: 749 euro. For a NOT soldered MB the price is 849 euro (Eyetech italian distributor prices).
And, be clear, the Pegasos board is a modern micro-Atx board, really well elaborated (also Asustek or Gigabyte fans looked at that with respect), while the AmigaOne is an old style MB, with an ancient taiwanese PCB.

In reply to Comment 3 (Eva):
Another MOS advertising, waiting for flames now :))
Btw, there were two new software released at the show: Software Tycoon by Epic Interactive, and Supreme by Darkage Software.

>that 68k software (due too the good Jit implemantation)
So JIT is finally integrated now?
>Sysspeed give a value of 36 for the emulated Cpu
36 what? 36MHz? 36MIPS? 36 frags per second?
>integrated sound
Did you hear any sound output?
>2 usb 2.0 ports
Oh, updated specs or just a typo? Really that 480Mb/s USB2?!? :-)

In reply to Comment 3 (Eva):
-There is 3 Firewire ports ;-)
-And it takes about 6/8 seconds to boot (not 2 like you say ;-))
-Indeed, FroggerNG (MOS version) works very well !!
... no more adverts since I know some people here will say it is wrong, bad,
or that they don't care since Morphos does not exist and that the Pegasos is
not working at all... (I 'm joking of course, but I get tired because of all
these comments...)
