MorphOS-News points out another Pegasos demo, "at the BeOS fair 'BeGeistert' in Düsseldorf." Photos and translation.
What caught my eye was a sketch of a Walker tower, which finally explains that case design. Hope it's not old news.

Yes..the Walker was supposed to be a space conservative design that grew with you from the bottom up. That is one of the resaons it is such a smart device..both then and now..

Yeap, the walker was really something. I liked it's design, but most people seemed to dislike it. I wonder if there are any prototypes out there...

There are at least two cases,a nd four circuit boards. One case and two circuit boards can be immediatley accounted for.

Good design, but it does look a bit like a Dalek.

the idea was cool but the top part was still kinda ugly and could've been nicer.

Ah, Ryan is back again. Ryan, why are you posting here instead of doing the two things you promised would be done in September, namely
1. Updating Merlancia web site to remove the many outdated or broken parts.
2. Filing your four outstanding annual reports, and paying the State of Arizona the hundreds of dollars that you still owe them
Why would anyone do business with your company when it could take you 14 months to sort out some simple paperwork and write a cheque ? If it's too much bother to run a company properly, why not just quit ?

Well, regarding the latest statement by Thendic-France (see news-item "Thendic-France about AmigaOS4") it could be the Walker will be reborn. :-)
Maybe this "hoover" is the "Video-Microwave" Thendic is speaking about on their new Pegasos-website (http://www.thendic-france.com/TECH/GE/products/pegasos/pegasos.htm)?

Sounds like he brought along one of the Dave's too.

Ok, this basically looks like a typical mini-tower inspired by someone with a phallic obsession.

If you just looked at the side view from the sketch you could easily
think it was supposed to be some sort waste bin.

To me, the design would work better if the bottom section wasn't a simple rectangle, but segmented by horizontal lines in some way. When I first heard of the Walker and how it could be added on to, I thought maybe there'd be something like rather flat drive-bay-sized sections stuck under it that'd be well-defined visually. It'd be something like how a component stereo looks when you stack the pieces, though maybe a little smoother. Anyway, the sketch is just a sketch. I imagine if the Walker was going to be put into production, the designers would think about how to make it more interesting. There's no point in doing it if it just looks like an ordinary PC case with a weird top.
