It's not Axl Rose, but Tony Hawk who gets his Amiga heritage mentioned in a Slashdotted Wired article on homes of the super-rich.

There were some rumors that Axel Rose was a famous Amiga user.

I saw a skateboard movie in the 90s where Hawk played some tunes he had made with his A2000. :-) It was exciting for a young kid like I was to see my fave computer in the hands of a celebrity.

Maybe now is the time Amiga should start contacting celeb amiga users and asking them if out of the goodness of their hearts would do some promotional stuff .. maybe chuck some amigaOnes their way for it ;)
" yeah , heres OS4 , its got this great little game built in , its a bit like whack'a'mole but more amiga related" - Says Tony hawks sitting next to his spanking new amiga one .

Get the hell out of the 90s, who gives a shit if Hawk owned a Amiga in the 90s, no celeb can take the amiga seriously anymore, Please Mr Hawk use a AmigaONE and see how restricted it will make you.
Amiga1 and OS4 are for the total die hards, NEVER EVER for the normal user.

AmigaOne and OS4 are stepping stones to better things ... things that should have been developed years ago but the power and/or features weren't there.
I was developing / porting a few things with a couple other people ... but we decided to put that on halt and work on some PHP projects in the short term.
Problem is .. i can't remember where i left the code for the unverisal instant msg'er client , except the MSN module ... gonna get beatings for this lol.

Whose for banning anonymous postings then?
I mean most of their comments may well as be random characters for all the worth they have.
It's annoying when people make a statement and then don't have the confidence to attach their name to it. It's the computer equivalent of children knocking on someone's door and running away - and equally as pathetic.
Cowardly.

The plan is not to ban anonymous postings, but to add more worth to authenticated ones, while at the same time encouraging posters to register in one way or another. However, I can't give any firm dates when this might be ready. First, I'm heading on my final holiday for this year. :)

...have a 'no anonymous' switch on the top - much like the 'no unmoderated'?
have it to 'do not view anonymous' by default?
what about authentication though?? are we going to have an account/login scheme
like all other sites...? (okay by me!)
