Thylacine Hub Compatibility List : Comment 1 of 4 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Peter Gordon on 24-Oct-2002 08:42 GMT | Heh... any hub that doesn't work with a well written standard hub driver is a pile of CRAP! :) |

Posted by koan on 25-Oct-2002 06:09 GMT | In reply to Comment 1 (Peter Gordon): I don't understand how ANN gets this reputation for
flaming !
For those who can't be bothered to follow the link, there
are 11 hubs in the list (to varying degrees of compatility).
Sounds reasonable to me.
Can't we liven this up a bit with some AOS vs MOS stuff ? ;)

Thylacine Hub Compatibility List : Comment 3 of 4 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Joe "Floid" Kanowitz on 25-Oct-2002 11:40 GMT | In reply to Comment 2 (koan): Sounds like he was flaming the incompatible hubs to me. The Highway/Subway compatibility page reports the same trouble with presumably the same Atmel products.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/usbnutshell/usb2.htm seems to explain what the SE0 business is about, though I'll have to give it another read before I pretend to understand it. :) |

Thylacine Hub Compatibility List : Comment 4 of 4 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Michael Böhmer on 26-Oct-2002 16:50 GMT | Hi there,
just to point this out: we have just *one* hub here which causes problems with HIGHWAY/SUBWAY cards (non-spec answers to standard requests). As the HIGHWAY / SUBWAY cards include an ATMEL hub, your opinion that ATMEL product cause the problem is not right.
Moreover, the Thylacine's problem seem to be that low speed devices don't work behind a hub (the Thylacine does not include a root hub like the HIGHWAY).
We have not encountered such problems here, as well as our customers all over the world.
Hope this clarifies some things.
