That's nice, what about the f***ing firmware update?
Amiga PCI solutions:
1)Elbox - Tons of shady underhanded drivers and decent hardware. Less morals than M$.
2)DCE - Horrible hardware and a handful of drivers. MOS scumbags.
3)Matay - Excelent hardware, perfect working drivers and good ethics, yet only 2 f***ing drivers.
I wish Matay would get their f***ing act together with the f***ing firmware update, they would have the best solution. F***!

Yeah the elusive firmware update, shame it never happened. If it does ever happen I'd likely buy another Prometheus.

Buhahaha :-)
Prometheus is the worst PCI hardware with buggy Voodoo3 and buggy 10Mbps drivers.
Read Prometheus mailing list, you will see for yourself.

Not quite. I am an ex-Prometheus owner too. The only problem I had was my Voodoo3 was an SGRAM model and initially it caused corruption. This was not a fault of the Prometheus, but of the P96 driver. And actually the P96 author was kind enough to fix the problem very fast. I never had a single problem with the 10Mb/s ethernet driver.
Both devices(The Voodoo and nic card) worked 100% flawelessly, and I gave them incredible workouts. The Voodoo3 was being pushed to the max by Warp3D(Payback, GLQuake, Freespace etc), and the nic was connected to my DSL and the miggy was always downloading something.
The problem the Promehteus had then and still to this day is lack of any other drivers. For whatever reason they are unable to finish the firmware update to enable bus matering. Without that there will likely be no more drivers. 2 drivers is hardly worth the purchase of a $300 PCI board:-(

well, just cause you didn't encounter problems doesn't mean they don't exist.
if lots of other people are having problems, and you can see this on the mailinglist..
:)

Really? So can you post those bugs here? I`m on Prometheus list and didn`t read what you did. Strange.

I was speaking hypotechically.
IF you can read about lots of bugs on a mailinglist, yet one has no problems, doesn't mean that there exist no problems. Even if there's no bugs on the list, doesn't mean there's no problems :)
