It's one thing when a product manufacture announces their products/upgrades on this site as that can be classed as "news", but it's something else when a retail outlet simply use the site as free advertising. |

Posted by Dagon on 26-Nov-2002 20:18 GMT | It`s not only them. Many shops around the world announced in the news sites that are ready to take preorders for AmigaOne/Pegasos. And I believe it is news to see that once again there are many AmigaShops still around. |

AmigaOne and Pegasos from Virtual Works : Comment 4 of 14 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Darrin on 26-Nov-2002 20:28 GMT | In reply to Comment 3 (Dagon): I agree is good news and it's very welcome, but as it's advertising then I just wish that they'd drop a few pennies into the pockets of the websites involved. I'm sure CK's banner prices aren't too steep.
I may have ordered an AmigaOneXE instead of a Pegasos, but I think it is nice to see that Thendic payed for banner space on ANN. There are 3 "official" AmigaOne vendors in the USA, if one of them had been advertising on ANN or Amiga.Org then they would have had my order. Instead, it came down to who answered my questions first. |

Wake me up when I can pay and recieve the board and OS4 the next day. I've had enough of pre-orders to last a lifetime. |

Posted by Dagon (HELLAS) on 27-Nov-2002 03:50 GMT | Well the ones who`ll get my money will be those who will have the cheapest Amiga (AmigaOne or Pegasos if supports OS 4.0) with G4 |

On the main page, there are still a lot of space in the right column to accept other banners... ;) |

Posted by Daniel Miller on 27-Nov-2002 11:10 GMT | In reply to Comment 11 (takemehomegrandma): No kidding, this is Economics 101. Of course one still must provide the
agreed-on price for advertisers who bought in advance. Still I am happy to
hear that CK is doing such great business, is this a sea change in the
market? |
