Version 1.3 of BibleView Bible text viewer for m68k and WarpOS has been uploaded to Aminet (text/show/BibleView.lha). In the new version I've done several bugfixes and modifications in the prog/GUI and added support for Swedish 1917 translation. See the .readme file for details.

Just because you guys don't appreciate it doesn't give you the right to trash on those people who DO (like me). Or perhaps you don't believe in anything. How about showing respect to those of us who do? Thanks.

It may not be a "killer app," but it is an application which the Amiga has needed. There are few Bible programs available for the Amiga, just as there are few business or government applications (when was the last time you used the Amiga to submit your 1040 forms?).
The Amiga has always suffered from being a niche computer. It caters mostly to artists, videographers and gamers. A Bible program might not appeal to many in the Amiga market, but it is a program that allows the Amiga to be used outside of its niche.
I once called the late Joe Rothman, Mr. Hardware, to ask him about whether to use my Amiga in my business, or get a PC. He replied, "The Amiga is the best platform for ANY type of application, business or otherwise."
The Amiga has lost many types of software. When a new product that is not video/art/game related becomes available, we as a community should welcome it as increasing our software base.

Friend, take it easy. This is ANN, all the trains go through. There is room for everyone here.
Sadly (or should I speak ironically), the Bible has been a killer application in real life for too many.

The Bible? You mean the Quran surely..? I don't see many black-hooded Christians on my TV brandishing AK47's, planting bombs and hijacking planes, do you?

ALL RELIGION MUST DIE.

In reply to Comment 13 (Jon):
We like to blame God / Allah / Jehovah / <insert your preferred deity here> for wars since that way us humans can kill eachother guilt-free.
Most wars are not about religion - they are in the name of money, oil, power, land. Saying the wars are about some greater ideal of "Truth, Justice and the American way", or that they are in the name of God just sounds better.

I agree with comment 16. Also, if you want to get braver soldiers you make them BELIEVE it's a war of religion, and then they will even make suicide-attacks.
Anyhow, in my work as a pastor I will make good use of this program. Thanks a lot!
