Issue 31, the December 2002 issue of the 100%AMIGA, the Amiga's only monthly CD magazine is out now. This month is the biggest issue ever as we take a close look at last month’s World of Amiga show including... the full 72 minute video of the show for those who don’t have broadband! We also feature Software Tycoon and as a special Xmas bonus (for UK subscribers only) we have also included a second CD packed full with Quake 2 add-ons and levels. Of course, we have got into the festive mood with seasonal music and a slideshow. With all the latest Amiga news and over 1.2 Gigabytes of Amiga stuff you need to subscribe now!

"This month is the biggest issue ever as we take a close look at last month's World of Amiga show including..."

Well the smallest as there are no games/utils etc :(

"the full 72 minute video of the show for those who don't have broadband!"

I would have been nice if I had anything that could play it on my 060 miggy :(

"as a special Xmas bonus (for UK subscribers only) we have also included a second CD packed full with Quake 2 add-ons"

hmmm, another PPC only thing <sigh>.

"Of course, we have got into the festive mood with seasonal music and a slideshow."

yep, all pictures are on there twice, in both gif & jpg, what a waste of space :(
the seasonal music is a few midi's, I hope you all have your browsers configured properly...

"With all the latest Amiga news and over 1.2 Gigabytes of Amiga stuff you need to subscribe now!"

Well, unless you have a PC or PPC & Quake2 there's less than 10Mb :(

also from previous versions:

All the games & utils that are included on the cd are from the late 80's and early 90's
it is way too old :(

I doubt I'll be renewing my subscription unless they actually come up with something good in the next 2 issues.

I agree, not enough content, I subbed to the "mag" for an enjoyable read but can`t find much to actually read?!?!?!?

I won`t be renewing my sub and will probably get totally amiga instead, at least you CAN read it!

Hmm. We can't seem to win here as you complain that the CD is full of old and new stuff! We do our best to produce a monthly magazine with not much happening in the Amiga market to speak of. We would love to have loads of features every month on all the new products released and in development but, oh, the aren't any!! What there is we do have in the magazine - VHI Studio last month, Software Tycoon this month, FXPaint 2 next month, Tales of Tamar next month. We appologise again for these being new products that may not run on your unexpanded machine but we are trying to have something for everybody which is the hardest thing in the world to do! As for the old free stuff, we cannot include it if it doesn't exist. If anybody has new stuff they wouldlike to submit we would be all to glad to include it. Of course, as you are not upgrading your machine you are more than welcome to return the free Quake Addon CD as we have a tight budget and could use the CD for somebody else.

I wouldn't take much notice of these people. Honestly, you can't
please anyone these days! I think you have the correct mix of new
and old stuff - as you said, its difficult to write about new gumpf if
it doesn't exist!

There are OTHER subjects to cover, not just reviews of software....base a mag on that alone and it would never survive in this present climate. You can fill a cd full of freeware/shareware of which I personally can d/l easily, not much use for me but which would be of use to a lot of amigans with no net access or slow dial up.

I liked the woase video in this months mag, that was an EXCELLENT inclusion that for me saved this months mag, but as I said earlier I want to READ things not just have a collection of PD.

If you have nothing to read you really can`t call it a magazine now can you.

PS some other things you can write about......

interviews....hyperion/genesi/software writers etc.
Tutorials....many subjects to cover
Readers letters
Helps & tips

No doubt there a loads of other things to write about not just software reviews or a little bit of news.

Will the SoftwareHut-produced domestic print of 100%Amiga have the second disk, too?

(Not that I'm into playing the game, I'm just curious...)

Well, I'm trying to play the woa2002.avi file on the CD, using Windoze XP... and all I get is the audio, and video-snow! I tried using Real One Player, and tried using DivX Player 2.0 Alpha... and all I got was the audio! (Windoze Media Player just complains that it's not a supported file type...)

Did the copy on the domestic (USA-printed) version of the CD get messed up, or am I just using the wrong programs?
