In Amiga.org thread "AmigaOne G3SE is here! now!" someone reports they got their new AmigaOne on Thursday and others say their Swedish dealer has them now for deliver on next Tuesday. Some problems are reported with IDE connectors and stability.

Quotes:

"my local (well swedish atleast) dealer has got the first batch SEs! That means that all the people that has ordered a A1Se from GGSDATA in sweden will have their A1s by Tuesday!"

"The newer IDE connectors have a pin missing and the cables also lack a hole for it. Apparently the A1 has IDe connectors with all pins so you have to have a cable with all holes or you have to bend a pin."

"btw DMA is enabled but is a little unstable atm so easier to have it switched off. It is being worked on... A number of developers have it sorted but it hasn't quite reached us 'normal' folk yet."

Problem is: The SB used on the Teron is NOT one of the modern ones, but
some 3 (or more ?) years old, and falls right into the VIA-trouble-era.

My AthlonXP also has a VIA-chipset, but one from late 2001 with DDR-RAM,
and I think the one used in the Pegasos is from 2000 or so.

Would it kill you to do some research?

The 686B was introduced late 2000.

Mobo's apparently only started shipping December 2000.

http://www6.tomshardware.com/mainboard/20001220/index.html

That makes it exactly 2 years old.

The upside being that its limitations or flaws are now very well understood, documented and correctable.

You are so retarded. Why don`t you just quit your clueless nonsense and try to run a business at least half proper. The way you`re doing it now is nothing short of pathetic. Maybe you should clear up the mess regarding dopus. And any other mess. But I doubt you would, cause people like you thrive on creating a mess and bullshitting. If one person is a disgrace for the "amiga community" it is you.

Maybe you should also do some more research and then see the fact that those
DMA issues are only there (VIA related) if you use two IDE buses and a high
last at the PCI bus system. Those errors do not accure just when you switch on
DMA for harddisks.

You should not remove the pin, The old IDE hard disk can be connected
to the ATA controller. the old disk do not need the pin, the IDE cable is not
the same as the ATA cable, more weirs are added, the weirs they are probably
signal ground (V0) this is due to noise when transferring in hi-speeds,
so you should not cut it, if you have then may have cut some thing important,
so you may have problems using ATA disk whit out side affects.

Your right when exchanging your not working card with an working one,
is removed, when damaging your card at will, you dropped shit in your boots,
if the card do not work and your local dealer do not accept it as it is.

Right i have read through all of the thread on Amiga.org.
And to no surprize it was a well known MOS supporter who asked if there was any DMA problems.
& then after that the rest of the well known MOS supporters joined in & made an issue of it.

Forcing the thread into DMA & cable crap.

Few of the PPL who got there Aone where worried about it. nore really worried about the cable.

At the end of the day why are the Pegasos/MOS supporters so concerned  about A product that they dont want & even more so than the ppl who do want it.

Its quite optimistic to think that if IDE has DMA problems that USB and networking has none ... Unfortunately those devices dont have polling modes.
Has anyone tested that yet ?

No, it was the BPPC and it wasn't exactly a bug, some stuff weren't implemented
yet, like DMA. That's why the Pegasos got so much testing before release to end
users.

Microcode solutions coudn't even get software to work on the Blizzard.
--

No, either that was a WarpOS bug or something not implemented in the WOS driver,
as they didn't have the BPPC documentation.

This is ANN (AMIGA Network News)!

Why not focus on Amiga (MOS/Pgeasos is not supported by Amiga Inc). If you want to go for that product, just start to chat somewhere else, I don't care. Please just make questions and constructive comments about the Amiga. Any facts, comments about prestanda or any review should only come from someone that actually has hands on experience with the HW/SW. And that is not many here I can see. Why don't we start with that? Why can't we start to make up some rules about who has authority to say what. Make a list with names and their "rank" within the Amiga. In that case I could skip all the anonymous nonsens... and you could filter out this email if you wanted ;)

The first HW in year has been released for the Amiga OS and that is in fact a big step for the Amiga community! Time for celebration in fact!

So....hip hip HURRAY and marry XMAS all Amiga fans!!!

The moderators of this site have explicitly stated many times before that they allow all "amigalike" platforms.
Why this discrimination? Some tolerance, may I ask...

And may I remind you that *YOU* are always free to leave if you don't like the forum. We're not keeping you here.

Why not set something like this up yourself? I mean then you'd have total control over it. I bet you'd love that.

I just want to say that my AmigaOneG3-SE arrived today and it works
PERFECTLY. Not a single problem of any sort whatsoever. Not one.

Of course, I haven't even removed the packaging, so it's just sitting
on the table right now, but it's doing so perfectly. :) I understand
that it needs a few items in order to function...something called "RAM,"
and also apparently a "graphics card." And does anyone know what a
so-called "power supply" is? Oh, and a, what is it, "hard drive." Maybe
a few other things too.

(OK, truth is, I wasn't really expecting it just yet, so I haven't done
any shopping.)

Anyway, yes, it does come with a custom backplate, so there's THAT issue
settled at least. Now if only the whining losers would shut up for a
while, what a lovely present that would be! You know who you are. You
know, deep inside, that it's the right thing to do.

This HW is not released for AMigaOS, this HW is released for LinuxOS and than AInc/Eythec start to say this bulshit "The Hardware for AOS", because they don´t have (Money or Skill´s or Time) to make a proprietary HW, and every single Amiga Fanatic user "Blind Troll´s" start to say thinks like this "The first HW in year has been released ..."

There are no coupons. You either buy a tester rock now
or you dont get a rock. BTW, i believe you need to sign
an NDA to even buy a tester rock. That way, if problems
arise in the rock (fractures, etc) you cant say there is
a problem with your rock and exchange it for a working
rock because its a 'tester' rock. Besides, they've
produced flawed rocks from thier quarry before if i
remember correctly.
