Interesting analogy. Enjoying a little too much holiday cheer from that bottle I see.

Considering that there were no service interruptions on any of our other sites, that analogy is totally bogus. In fact, there were very few times that merlancia.com was not online. It was down for a few hours while we changed our internal DNS tables and waited for a global DNS change. That's it.

We have just finished upgrading the hardware that Merlancia.com was sitting on, as well as placing it on a faster data line. All of the old Merlancia.com website is gone, and has been wholly replaced with the new site and interface that we preiewed a few months back. The old machine is also still on our network, functioning as a web server for two of our other sites.

So please either put down that bottle, or move further away from the keyboard.
