This must be the first time I've seen an Amiga program packed with ZIP. Or is it still an Amiga program?

well, maybe you are too lazy to spend one minute to find out for yourself, so I will help.
It is an amiga program archived using zip.

In reply to Comment 1 (Iggy Drougge):
ZIP just doesn't seem to have Y2k Problems and it preserves
amiga file-comments. So most files in the .zip's on my site have
the file-version in their comments and most files of TransGuide.zip
additionally have the date of the last change in their comments.
Apart from this LZX is just a dead product and LHA seems to be as well.

Personally I am a BIG fan of Diskmaster, have been using it for years, have tons custom scripts for it, and would be lost without it. It's one of the worse things I have to deal with when using other platforms, NO DISKMASTER!

It does have a few glitches with the file archatecture of AmigaXL, but I'm hoping that will be fixed.

Ohhh! I just downloaded the latest update. I knew I was a couple revisions behind, but this was a great update. It fixed a couple of the problems with AmigaXL, some crashes and rename problems.

I did have to make changes with my startup, as it wasn't the right name, and the windows were open in different places, but those were quickly fixed.

In reply to Comment 4 (Mathew):
Well, I haven't heard of any problems with AmigaXL so far...
And Jody Tierney my co-author is a happy user of Amithlon and even
compiling DM2 with SAS-C under Amithlon.

If you still have problems with XL just drop me a specific report
and I'll try to have a look into it.

In reply to Comment 6 (Rudolph Riedel):
Just wanted to say that Diskmaster has always been a GREAT file management
tool for me personally, even back in the day when I had an 1 meg A500 with
two floppy drives. I am glad that someone has taken the initiative to keep
it current. PS: I also have used it on the Pegasos, where it is superfast.

In reply to Comment 7 (Daniel Miller):
No promises yet but there may be a native version of DM2 for MorphOS.
There are no assembly parts left in the source and each module basically
compiles with VBCC - 'only' linking failed last time I tried.
But I really couldn't afford to buy a Pegasos myself, not even if it would
excite me like it seem to excite so many others... Regards - Rudolph

All the problems I have with Diskmaster and AmigaXL seem to not exist now that I have the latest version. Older versions would crash the Amiga side of things if you tried to hexread a file, and if you renamed a file it wouldn't come up right unless you reloaded the directory. Like I said, not happening any more so no problem.

In reply to Comment 9 (Mathew):
At least one bug in 2.5RC7 has just been reported to me. Filesizes of 10/10x/10xx/10xxx
are displayed wrong as 1/10/10x ... - this applies to the biggest files
in a dir. So 2.5RC8 will be out before monday... Regards - Rudolph
