After 1,5 year a new version of ASM-One has been released. V1.48 fixes some long standing bugs, has some long awaited enhancements and sloves some serious problems with the PPC register support.

You can download your copy here.

Great work :)
I've been using AsmPro (and before that, Devpac) but I think I'll give this version of AsmOne a go (nice to have PPC support in there)

Yep, it's nice to see some people that still can work on Amiga-related projects without flaming the shit out of eachother.

In reply to Comment 3 (Rafo):
ASM-One does not support the writing of PPC executables. It does however support the (dis)assembly of PPC opcodes (including AltiVec) within an 68k source. So your PPC coding will need an 68k frontend. It sortof supports WOS, since WOS works with library calls which make it possible to run PPC code with an 68k executable (if I'm correct).

Well, looks like we have a feature request for 1.49: Generate native code for MOS/AOS4 :)

Hi,

As its written in ASM, it will surely work on OS4 but on emulation only :-(

Nothing stopping a 68k assembler generating PPC code.

That doesn't make sense, while Asm-one will be able to generate(!) a native OS4 or MOS binary. I think, that will not so hard to do.

Would be nice to meet on the new platforms as a main asm development utility (in case there will be PPC-debugging support).

People have to realize that ASM-One will always be an 68k binary. I was not planning to convert the 80.000+ (1,5 - 2 Mb) lines of 68k ASM code to PPC code.

The addition of PPC (dis)assembly is primarly meant for those coders who want to program mixed executables. However, if there is enough documentation on how to make MOS and/or AOS4 executables, than I'll look what can be done.

When it comes to debugging PPC code: I've said this before and I'll say it again. I cann't do this myself since I can NOT code the PPC. I believe the Guide has information on what I need to make it work.

Then again: nothing is impossible B-)
