Could someone please educate me? Why is there a need for "MOS Version"
application when I thought MOS was compatible with AmigaOS?? Like I said, please educate me as I am not bashing MOS.

In reply to Comment 5 (MrBlonde):
Because it's PPC machine code that would be faster than emulating a 68k program ?

Ahhh ok I understand now ... no need to sound a little condescending.
Does MOS emulate 68K programs though??

But couldn't the same be about AmigaOne with OS4.0?

yes, os4 will have an integrated 68k emulator for running 68k apps,
so when you start 68k amiga programs the program will run on the
68k jit emulator but all library accesses are ppc native which
will speed boost those programs far beyond existing 68k systems.

Anything MOS doesn't do? (Not bashing OS4 of course, that's the right way to do
it).

old news alert. please dont let this place turn into a slashdot.

for what its worth, the new V was mentioned on several threads on ann.lu the day after it was released..i was suprised that it hadnt been mentioned in a news
article...but assumed that the 'version watch' news policy of ann.lu
had been dropped, gets tiresome to see several versions being released
day after day...and i wasnt going to post another news item since
my previous ones had been nicely dropped (perhaps because they didnt advocate
MOS or Pegasos) . hmmm.
