A new SID driver for the Catweasle MK3 PCI/Flipper is available, this time for the Amiga OS (compatible with Frodo, MagiC64 and others using 6581sid.library).

Some changes in the list of recommended prices

Individual Computers is being massively attacked by viruses! New year, new drivers, new prices

Catweasel MK3 PCI/Flipper is not only a PCI-card, it can also be used in an Amiga. The first SID-driver has now been released for AmigaOS: Stefan Haubenthal has written a 6581sid.library for common C64 emulators like Frodo or MagiC64.

Unfortunately, the new year also brings bad news: Higher taxes, higher energy cost and higher wages at our contractors force us to increase some prices for the first time in the nearly nine-year old history of the company. This mainly affects the new products. On the other hand, we will decrease prices for the existing inventory.

The new pricelist is valid from february 1st, 2003.

Prices at your local reseller may be different from the prices listed here, especially because of differen VAT rates in the European countries. Prices listed here include the German VAT of 16%. Price lists published previously become invalid with the publication of this list.

Buddha Flash IDE controller 49,90 EUR Catweasel MK3 PCI/Flipper 89,90 EUR Catweasel Z-II (incl. The products Kylwalda and IDE-fix express A1200 will only be produced on special order. We're currently considering production outside Germany to keep the target price of 189,- EUR for the Delfina soundcard.

Something funny at the end: Individual Computers is being massively attacked by viruses in the past few weeks. Up to eight eMails containing a virus arrive every day. The amusing part about this is that it's viruses that only spread through Windows and Outlook. Those who want to harm us should know that we're not using sub-standard software, and attacks like this are simply ineffectual.

I wonder whats going on - So many Amiga-related companies have been reported to be under virus/trojan/DOS attack in recent weeks - AInc, Eyetech, SixGirls, Individual Computers etc. have all been reported to have been attacked.

Looks like the Amiga community has upset someone!

In reply to Comment 1 (Lando):
Some viruses in the Outlook envireonment tends to mail *themselves* to addresses found in the contacts and/or previous sent/recieved e-mails. So I don't think that anyone should jump to such drastic conclusions as there is some evil force out there that's trying to cause damage to Amiga companies. At work I too get about 8 virus infected mails every day, and I have kind of gotten used to it now. At least I don't consider that to be a "massive attack".

Why would the MorphOS community be upset with Individual Computers?

Of the existing ones, Frodo. MagiC64 is good, but only if you have access to the original Amiga chipset and display modes.

Best solution would be to port VICE though.

BTW, does anyone know the status of the CommodoreOne? I saw that they had a new webpage (www.commodoreone.com now points to http://c64upgra.de/c-one/ (nice page and a clever URL!)), but I couldn't see anything about ETA though.

I'm *personally* getting 8 viruses some days.. I don't think this is
because somone hates me however, rather it's because I receive some
rather well-spread email addresses.

The funny thing about these virus floods is that no one seems to draw
the obvious conclusion: nearly everything targets Microsoft Outlook
and nothing else. I guess if a particular brand of hard drives,
printers or refrigerators was as prone to break down and cause huge
costs, companies would be rather a lot quicker to get some other
brand..
