"This is the fifth year that Amiga Flame gives Amiga Gamers the opportunity to vote for the 'Best Game of 2002'. This year has been a slow year in terms of game releases, in particular due to the transition currently underway as developers work on the next generation of Amiga games. However, some impressive games were released this year and it is time for Amiga gamers to select the Best." You can cast your vote here.

I think the best game of last year was the "Shell Game" by AmigaInc, they made
50.00 american a pop on that floating coupon/T-shirt hustle.

Was there even 5 titles last year to speak of?! Let alone vote on!

5 years of voting for 'Best Game of 2002'
Well, at least it makes sense this year, what with 2002 being in the past.
Back in 1998, voting for the Best Game of 2002 was highly speculative.

:-D

I distinctly remember voting for Doom III in 1998. Is that out for AmigaOS yet?

BTW, I just visited that Amiga Flame site.

My GOD, it's horrible!

Some constructively intended tips to whoever made it: Drop the f-ing anim GIFs. Drop the horrendous background pics. Find an easily readable colour combination of text/background and keep it consistent throughout the site. Sorry to say it, but right now it looks like a blog from ca 1996 belonging to a 12 yo black metal fan who's just activated his first AOL account.

Do you perhaps mean Doom II? DoomIII is still in production and hasn't been released for any platform! As to why they are bothering is beyond me.

"Hey, look everybody! I didn't get the joke!" ;-)

Now that you mention it, maybe it was Doom IV that I voted for in 1998.

Oh, so it still looks the same as back in 1997?
That's nice, that design is now not only an eyesore, it's an antiquity and must be preserved!

Unfortunately Amigaflame gets a lot of hits by blind surfers, since he claims that his site is beautiful. I'm glad this is the only site of this kind I've seen since ... oh... 1996. Everyone else have moved on to a usable and readable layout.

Hopefully he will some day too.

I think AmigaFlame is looking nice. Never had any problems navigating it and it loads quickly. Good
to have a site that is somewhat "custom" looking, setting it apart from all the pre-set packages
being used so much nowadays.

Not to mention that the author is actually putting editorial work into the site (no user-supplied
news), presenting summary and backgrounds to news items as well as writing the sporadic
editorial. Worth supporting.
