AmiGOD2 BETA 20.03.2003 released! : Comment 2 of 14 | ANN.lu |
Posted by MIB on 20-Mar-2003 21:14 GMT | In reply to Comment 1 (Emeric SH): I used the last version when it said something along the lines of you have an 040 please upgrade.
Which annoyed the crap out of me since I have a 240mhz PPC attached to the same card. :-(
Nope, the program didn`t check for that. Or perhaps I never saw the PPC option? |

Yes, of course! When I will have more time.
Now I am very busy :( Learning, learning, learning... |

Posted by Lukas Stehlik on 21-Mar-2003 08:49 GMT | In reply to Comment 4 (Lukas Stehlik): PPC is fast, but I mean upgrade 040 to 060 because of 68k AmigaOS. |

AmiGOD2 BETA 20.03.2003 released! : Comment 6 of 14 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Don Cox on 21-Mar-2003 11:06 GMT | In reply to Comment 5 (Lukas Stehlik): Even so, the messages advising upgrades should be left out, because they are just annoying. Nobody needs to be told that an 060 is better than an 040.
This is a very good set of benchmarks for comparing 68k Amigas and emulations. |

AmiGOD2 BETA 20.03.2003 released! : Comment 8 of 14 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Jaeson Koszarsky on 22-Mar-2003 13:48 GMT | I have an A3000T with PPC604@252MHz / 68060@72MHz / CVPPC / 271MB RAM / OS3.9.
I also have USB, Ethernet, VLabMotion & Tocatta in there with plenty of drive space and a CDRW.
I found it amusing that it told me to please upgrade to an Amiga1200 or A4000. Why would I move to an inferior machine? AGA is hardly a worthwhile excuse and IDE is certainly not.

AmiGOD2 BETA 20.03.2003 released! : Comment 11 of 14 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Ole-Egil on 22-Mar-2003 19:22 GMT | In reply to Comment 10 (Don Cox): Well, aren't we being a bit cocky today? I would say it worked, but calling it brilliant is a bit much. I mean, how difficult is it to post a message saying "test" to an online forum? ;-) |

AGA chipset (A1200/4000) is not needed, if you have GFX.
Big thanks for testing! |
