It's freaking incredible how much this little emulator can do. It's already to the point where it's interface and features blow other VM's for other platforms (like VMWare) right out of the water. I can't think of a single feature that you could think of that WinUAE doesn't already have.

Well, I can think of 3, and I had to try hard.

MMU Support enabling Linux/Amiga Unix compatibility
Highway USB emulation
The ability of WinUAE to assign it's BSDSocket interface an indipendant IP (as VMWare does)
Peggy+ Hardware Mpeg decoder emulation (so Mpegs can be processed by Windows, and the Amiga see's it as a hardware Mpeg decoder card)

I know, I'm pushing it, but what else IS there? everything else has been added already! :)

I would like to see an Eagle view option added and to be able to set the scanline density.

I wouldn´t mind some OpenGL support. ;-)

I want to see WarpOS / PowerUP PPC and Warp3D compatibility.

In reply to Comment 4 (Lando):
I wonder how slow PPC emulation would be (with or without JIT).

How good is AGA emulation? Does Ham-8 work correctly?

Really impressive to see how this emulator evolves !!

A bit sad to see the other ports of UAE lack so many things in comparison though... :-/

I miss these two things:

1) software 68k 3D renderer for Warp3D (possible I guess as there is already a ppc software renderer available)
or some Warp3D<->Direct3D wraper (this is a dream ;))...

2) bug-free center function !!!

Leo.

has a sana2 device driver arrived yet? If not put that on the list - miami/genesis/roadshow are alot better than that bsdsocket.library emulation..

The only thing I'm waiting for is full MMU emulation. Without the MMU emulation, you can't program Amiga software on UAE effectively. There are just too many developers tools that require an MMU for debugging. Other than that, WinUAE is more or less complete. 68K Warp3D shouldn't be a part of WinUAE but rather a part of the OS components.

In reply to Comment 6 (Don Cox):
Er.. I think no. I've compared the output directly with my A1200 and the PC seems to output a 16bit screen.

would be ppc-emulation, I do know it would be slow, but hey, considering were used to slow(whatever each of us defines as slow), it could stilll be usefull.

In reply to Comment 12 (What would be really nice):
On Intel one 68k instruction will be translated to about tow to fore Intel instruction to cope with byte order problem, on the PPC there are no shout thing so one 68k instruction should be translated to one PPC instruction in most cases, you should get near native PPC speed.
