CRONOSOFT is a new software distributor for NEW software or Old UNreleased software for older platform systems, whether commercially unsupported or still supported, as with the Amiga for example. CRONOSOFT invites anyone, from any part of the world, who still develops software and wants to sell it ( Games, Utilities, etc. ) but doesn't want the hassle of packaging and distributing it to buyers themselves, to submit their programs for evaluation. If accepted, your software will be sold via the main website, and other outlets such as eBay for example, complete with color inlays or covers, which can be created for you at no extra cost if you don't/can't provide your own, plus documentation, etc. also at no extra cost to you.

The average 8bit game cassette is sold at a standard price of £2.99, however this is not set in stone and the price at which you would like your software to be sold can be discussed with us. Of course more powerful systems, especially larger programs sold on CD, have a higher standard price. Once again the price is negotiable, but CRONOSOFT would like to make software as affordable as possible to be able to distribute it to a large number of potential buyers.

CRONOSOFT makes its income by sharing the profits with you. So far the software currently available has had very good sales, and extremely good sales considering it has only started a little over a month ago! There are also many other titles to come besides what is on the Future Releases page and we'd like your software to be among them!

Systems currently supported are the following:

3DO
Amiga ( Upto 3.9 )
Amiga CDTV / CD32
Amstrad CPC
Atari 400/800/XL/XE ( Tape )
Atari ST
Commodore 16 ( Tape )
Commodore 64 ( Tape or disk )
Commodore Vic 20 ( Tape or disk )
Dragon 32 ( Tape )
Oric/Atmos ( Tape or 3” / 3.5” disk)
Sega Mega CD / Sega CD
Sharp MZ ( Tape )
Sinclair ZX Spectrum and compatibles ( Tape, +3 disk, Microdrive, Tr-Dos BetaDisk )
Sinclair ZX81 ( Tape )
Tandy CoCo ( Tape )

Please note that CRONOSOFT may support a wider range of platforms in the future. Newer OSs such as Windows, Linux, Mac etc. may also be a possibility. If you have software for another system please don't hesitate to get in contact with us for possible inclusion. If it is not possible at this time then perhaps in the future.

For more information and ways to contact please visit http://www.cronosoft.co.uk/

Maybe the Amiga version of Putty Squad will get to see the light of
day after all ;) Does anyone know who currently has the rights to this
game? I seem to recall that Alive Mediasoft were intending to publish
it before they folded. The game was definately finished as it was
reviewed in both Amiga Power and The One.

Nah :) He doesn't do that. He only says what it is, something like "CRONOSOFT - New Release for XXXXXXX" something or other. It's not run by me by the way, I'm just trying to help him out and because I'd like to see more software for these machines. Bye :)

That would be great if one could find out :). I'm sure it would be welcome. Similarly, I'm trying to get in touch with Phil Ruston, I've lost touch with him over the past 2 years. For those who don't know or don't remember he made the Giddy games for Amiga, Wibble World Giddy and Giddy 2: Hero in an Eggshell. He did a Giddy 3 for Dos and tried to sell it with no luck, it was cheap too. He also made a game for Codemasters and some other ones. I bought a copy it's great, but i think since last summer he released it as freeware because he had a hard time selling it ( no! :-O ) which was good of him, but unfortunate since Cronosoft came up. Only 13 Giddy 3 sales, all Dizzy fans, and a nasty number. Had he managed to get a 14th maybe his sales wouldve kept rising hehe :))

I think this could be great for the left gaming Amigans (like me!). I still wonder where the heck a lot of games went! Just a little list of what pops up in my head right away:

- Fratzengeballer (Trapped 3)
- Putty Squad
- X fighters (ok, dull, but fun)
- Island Volleyball (Bomb Software, looked great!)
- SpyVsSpy 4
- ...

Man, if I just get thru mags for 5 minutes I think the list would become endless! I really hope this gets off the ground.
So, you bedroomprogrammers/developers please send your games which still are on your Amiga Harddrives to them so we can enjoy it after all!!!!

Thnx!

Indeed, where's Trapped3? Sure was interesting. I'm also wondering why nothing ever came out of The Shadow Of The 3rd Moon's 3d engine(meaning other than that one game). They could've made a nice flightsim with it.

A fact of life is that there'we been so many liars amongst us in the past
that we should know better. Vulcan springs to mind. Had they cared, they'd release the 3d games creation kit in, what 1998? It would've helped enormously, if done right.

There are so many creative people around who could've done wonders, but perhaps lack the coding skill. Hands up anyone who can code a 3d game
from scratch?

@WD

SOT3rdM did came out and was pretty amazing. I've seen it fly on a 060, although it missed some hardcore action. AFAIK it got great scores in several magazines.
There were some really interesting 3D projects, from a scratch. The most (technical) impressive is F1 GrandPrix from Paolo Cattani. It's planar 3D on AGA!! His idea was to release an sequel but I think the sales were dissapointing :(

I also can remember that "The One" magazine (ruled!) covered a complete 3D game article. It contained Gloom, Trapped and Fears (all released) and there was a highly interesting article about a Polish (yes, Poland) 3D shooter, which looked familiar too Wolvenstein. Great 3D and 2D graphics. Can't remember the freaking name ATM. Also Titan released an 3D shooter :-?? anyone?

Yeah that annoys the hell out of me.

eg. *RARE* CARDBOARD BOX *MIB* L@@K WOW!!!!

I make a point of never bidding on anything with crap like that in the title. And then you normally click on the title and the listing looks just as bad, with massive purple (or bright green - usually both) text, scrolly titles, spelling mistakes, annoying animated gifs scattered all over the place, and (worst of all) cheesy music being played at you.

I bought it and it did not miss hardcore action! In fact it was very cool and
I waited for the successor in vain. :-((

It was quite fast but I really didn´t like the steering in the demo.

>Also Titan released an 3D shooter :-?? anyone?

If you mean Claws of the Devil (Tomb Raider style)...the project morphed into
RageHard eventually.
