Apparently, Bill & Raquel had recently confirmed on morphos-news.de that they had spoke with the new Amiga CEO Gary Hare. I've recently seen on morphos-news.de where Bill and Raquel had confirmed that they have spoken with Amiga Inc's new CEO Gary Hare, anyone would please confirm this...

So when did this happened, why didn't Fleecy mention this and what is his position with Amiga Inc now?

I'm wondering what they spoke about...

I'm wondering what it will change (if anything)...

I'm wondering why I'm commenting to say nothing...

Doing a quick search for Gary Hare returns several links. Apparently the name Gary Hare is somewhat popular among CEOs in the USA. There is a CEO of an Insurance Company in Galveston, TX (I love this place!) and there is also a Gary Hare as CEO of a company called Vimianya (sp) that is based in San Francisco. His company provides solutions for streaming data over low bandwidth connections. Of these two the second would seem to be the most likely candidate. This is assuming, of course, that CEOs tend to jump from CEO job to CEO job.

Anyway, in the end, until other confirmation appears, I choose to discount this as total 100% FUD, considering the source.

He's chief of technology. Don't know who is handling PR there, really..

Is he still COT? Does he even work there anymore?

Perhaps Amiga Inc's #1 cheerleader can give us some straight answers, what do you say Mike_B?

Don't see any of you bragging about other interviews made available here from Amiga Future Homepage, GFX-BASE, Amiga Arena(...) and many of which with only links provided... are these Fleecy Q&A any less news only because they are weekly!? How can that be!? Only if these interview are hosted on AmigaWorld, and it seems a few of you have an agenda against it... and many should have know better and behave differently but oddly they don't!

Sam, I won't presume to speak for Genesi; that is not my right or my responsiblity in this case. I can only verify that to the best of my knowledge there is a new CEO. For the rest of the people who think Bill Buck would just SAY that there is a new CEO: better think a little about the consequences of him knowlingly misrepresenting such an issue. He is a responsible person and cognizant of the legal implications.

And you might want to do some digging. This is not something that someone who is considered in the "MOS camp" would make up; but it is something that ANY intelligent partner or supporter of Genesi would be concerned about. And if I were instead considered to be in the "Red Guard", I would be equally concerned - since it is sure to have some impact if true.

Who cares? Amiga Inc as a company is DEAD, totally and utterly dead, no matter which clown is in charge the company has sunk so low declaring it dead is the best solution all around.

What kind of future would you give a company who claims to have major problems getting easy as hell t-shirts printed? NONE.

Do not R.I.P Amiga Inc you will not be missed.

I see no reason for Mr. Buck to lie about this (what would there be to
gain? It's so easily refuted), but I prefer to wait until AmigaInc themselves
announce the news until I give any further comment.

Born in Leeds, Jimmy Saville was the eldest of 7 children. His first job at 14 was a coalface worker, then a scrap metal seller. He used to all-in wrestle two nights a week. His first taste of the 'pop' industry was as an assistant manager for Leeds Locarno (Mecca Club). He later shot to fame on Radio Luxembourg in the 1960's. He was voted top British disc jockey for several years in that decade, by various magazines.

in 1964, he presented the first BBC 'Top of the Pops' music programme on television.

He held a record for running up the BT tower in London, and is well known for running and walking marathons across the UK in aid of many good causes.

He is famous for his outlandish clothes, Rolls Royce, cigar, jewellery and catch phrases such as 'how's about that, then', 'now then, now then', 'guys and gals' and 'eaeh eh eaeh eh'. By the mid 70's he was fronting the popular "Jim'll Fix It" show on BBC1. Jimmy Saville was awarded an OBE.

Jimmy is also well remembered in the UK for his parts in long-running television commercials for British Rail (this is the age.........of the train) and 'Clunk Click every trip' public information films.

Surprisingly, Jimmy was not one of the original team of D.J.'s on the new BBC 'Pop' station, starting instead nine months later. Here, he hosted 'Saville's Travels', a 'youth' chat show where he travelled up and down the country with a tape recorder chatting to people and playing records. In one episode, he climbed Ben Nevis in the middle of winter. Later he presented 'The Old Record Club' (the show's theme tune was The In Crowd by the Ramsey Lewis Trio) on Radio 1, Sunday afternoons until 1987.

A popular personality with one of the highest profiles ever, he has raised millions for charity.

There never was a scam.
People will get their 50$ back when purchasing either an AmigaOne or AmigaOS 4.
The t-shirt is a freebie on top of that. Besides that there is already the Club Amiga Magazine.

IF the money aren't paid when the products are out you can talk about a scam. Till then you're spreading FUD.

Just be thankful you're not saying what you're saying about The Other Company. When I wrote something far more laid back than what you just did I received an abusive mail from a certain company's CEO. Other people have received subtle threats for the same thing.

Now who are the real crooks?

At least that's something you'd never see from Amiga Inc.
