Apparently, Bill & Raquel had recently confirmed on morphos-news.de that they had spoke with the new Amiga CEO Gary Hare. I've recently seen on morphos-news.de where Bill and Raquel had confirmed that they have spoken with Amiga Inc's new CEO Gary Hare, anyone would please confirm this...

Beware of the IDEs of March (and Mai, but not April!) ;-)

...from Julius Caeser by William Shakespeare (and Alan Buxey).

We will get all this cleared up with Gary tomorrow (or later today if we can reach him). What we have presented here is exactly as it has been discussed with us.

What is the big fuss about? Amiga Inc. was headed for disaster. The main shareholders have stepped in and are now going to clean things up.

Sincerely,
Just Bill

P.S. I would not put much value in Fleecy stock right now either...;-) With the exception of Dean, Kevin and Sanjay and maybe Gordon, there will probably be a major house-cleaning.

It could leave him without a guaranteed monopoly, but certainly not empty handed. Teron mobos wouldn't suddenly become worthless just because he could find himself competing with others.

But it's too early to say anything about this. The Hyperion management could acquire some acute brain damage which would make them want to stick to AInc's (well, Eyetech's, really) enforced licensing scheme idiocy, the new AInc management could be even more indifferent about what happens with AmigaOS than the past one, whatever.

Just like to point out that there is another company with officies both in america and germany. That share the "Amiga" Name. That being Amiga (Telecom).
Maybe Just Maybe, BBRV and his friend who knows a guy who just happened to be somewhere when a business card was given out at a meeting might just work for Amiga (The Telco), not AI.

The way Amiga Inc have acting in the past i really believe Bill Buck with this new CEO, if one provides proof then it proves the other person can not be trusted or respected in the Amiga community.

But AFAIK none of them is where the things are taking place, ie Ray being in Canada and Fleecy in Britain. It just would make no sense for BBRV to lie about this, while it could be possible that Ray and Fleecy aren't informed correctly by Bill Mc Ewen in case they all three aren't considered by the investors to be kept employed at AI as BBRV imply. So let's wait and see until we get some proof for the one or the other.

Buck made some new business cards and T-shirts and he's now the CEO of AmigaInc
(because it says so in the cards and T-shirts) and he hired Alkis Tsapanidis as new CTO (yes, there where arguments, but he gets some business cards and T-shirts of his own too)
and the Q&A sessions will be answered by Alkis starting next week.

Rumors say the new url for the Q&A sessions will be changed to BucksAmigaWorld.net but some quick searches reveal that no actions have been
made to secure the domain, so its reasonable to guess they will resume on
amigaworld.net

It is still leaking information in a way that is close to if not over the border
of illegal. Just because you happend to like or believe the 'leaked' information
doesn't make it usual business practice.

>>No Mai without April? Hm the AOnes shipping now seems fine

Sure, but I suspect that your smiley indicates that you know the reason why

Well, it works for the people who are using it. Don't you think that they would
tell you differently otherwise? Do you need the CEO of a competitive company
to tell you the truth? Or is he scared that the competitions products finally
are arriving to the marked? I can understand if Bill was scared after the
XE G4 board was announced but the way he acted was plain unprofessional.
Posting info about their G4 cpu card or the PegasosII would be perfect marketing
for him. Instead he was posting information he possibly could not have. And
you still beleive in the guy???

@takemehome,

I think he just means to play word games.
Obviously, if someone invested in the company, they purchased
some kind of share/ownership/control/and/or stake in the outcome of the company.

People don't usually just give money to technology companies for no reason.

I just wanted to AGREE with your post again, because during these types of discussions...I don't think those jumping in to play word games are helpful.

I know one thing, if Amiga, Inc. does have a new CEO, then it doesn't bode well at all, that he is definately in the anti-open communication camp...not even bothering to announce his own involvement in the company is a severe lack of communication...something a natural communicator would never do.

I hope that isn't the case, but if it is...well, you have to 'think different' to steal apple's phrase, to work successfully in this alternative space...if he doesn't then he probably won't be interested in this space either.

All mere speculation, but we know Bill Buck thinks differently,...communicates to a fault... even if he's a psycho at times. He is at least operating in this universe, a new CEO might not be.....

Personally I think a new CEO at Amiga, Inc. was very necessary, but its still a gamble...the new CEO could be even more hostile or indifferent (same thing) to this community.

No excuses from Fleecy Moss about how he was just as deceived as the rest of us.
No excuses from Bill Buck about a source being wrong.

They both made announcements. They both purported TO KNOW.
Regardless of their source, their word is only as good as their sources anyway.

This is a chance to bring the community back together.

There's nothing stopping everything both Fleecy and BillB have said being true, just they've worded it differently (or got themselves a PhD in spin). As someone previously suggested, they may have this Gary Hare guy in line to start work as CEO from 1st May. This would mean BillM is still CEO now, making Fleecy's statement correct. But it may as well be that there is a new CEO, amking BillB's statement true. Hare wouldn't be able to say anything until he starts.

This whole situation is, however, a farce.

Suppose Bill is more or less right? Then he has leaked corporate information.
That would be considered illegal if the company was traded on an open
stockmarket.
Suppose he is wrong? Well, then it just makes me even more sick of his business

No matter how it turns out, it is just rotten business practice. And if you

I don't but as somebody allready said; why does a CEO of a company come with this *news*( we will see in the next weeks) in a forum! Why at all.

That's where the problem is. It shouldn't have happened. There was no need for this. CEO's don't do this.

Untill proven otherwise I will stick to my first impression and that is that Genesi never ever thought that the AOne's would be available in such high numbers and the news of Vesalia and PointDesign starting delivery has made them a little nervous.

There was no need for this but to initiate another round of crap and buggery.
