Yes i also ignore the lies (some people will see them as ANSWERS), Moss said he did not know Garry Hare then the next time he said Garry Hare, talk about a bad liar.

Moss,McEwen and the rest are NOT what the amiga platform needs.

Fleecy lives in England so it doesn't surprise me that he doesn't know Hare. I don't know Bill Gates either, but you can't say I'm a liar for knowing who he is.

I think the point is, whatever Fleecy says is *pure* fantasy. Where are the whitepaper's on all this fleecy speak, He's making this stuff up on the fly, I'm surprised anyone takes him seriously. Fleecy has no skills himself to make any of this happen, ask him if Amiga has *any* employees actively doing work on the AmigaDE/Anywhere whatever they rebadge it to these days project.

That don't impress me much... and - uh-oh! - Fleecy m0f0ss gave us yet another AOS4.0 release date(tm)!!
<quote>
We have always targeted it for AmigaOS4.2. Given that we want to have a release gap of between 6-12 months once AmigaOS4.0 has shipped, that should be around about Christmas 2004
</quote>
Given that there's still some1 at Hyperion developing it, we'll have to wait at least until Christmas 2oo3 to see an AOS4.0 in alpha or maybe beta stage, even if summer 2oo4 as a release date seems to be far more realistic at this point...

6-12 months between releases:

June/Jul 03 = OS4.0
Dec 03/jan 04 = OS4.1
June/Jul 04 = OS4.2

Maybe??? +6 months on above dates (except OS4.0, fingers crossed).

Never seen/heard that OS4.1 was being skipped, just some of the planned features
were being included in OS4.0. I assume some of OS4.2 will be included in 4.1.

What Mr Moss says it totally true and we must listen to his wise words as he has never let the users down and has always been there with us through the good and bad times.

Fleecy your Q&As are outstanding, thank you for everything you have done and you are well loved in the Amiga community.

I agree, after all, he said this:

it's quite obvious now what side ann is on (but no wonder since thendic owns ANN)...
they are on the side of a man which already ones has made a Amiga company gone bancrupt (VisCorp) and which got a very honest and correct review by Carl Sassenrath when he left VisCorp... he said this about Bill Buck et al.

"they are incompetent"

”Christmas 2004. However”, stupid promises that will be broken no question about it, it just goes with the company or technology, way don’t they start not making promises and just give some real estimate like some where between 2004 to 2006 this is the after all what the reality is.

Care to elaborate?

ANN is still running on my server, the domain is still registered to me, and I still get my monthly paycheck from ConceptWare. So in which way would ANN be owned by Thendic?

(If you refer to the banner advert, ANN would by the same kind of logic be owned by KDH or Vesalia. Neither of the three is true, since a banner advert certainly does not pay enough to buy me, or ANN.)

Yes I do, and continue to read them the same, no matter how wrong they are it kind of amuse me at the same time.

If fink it just silly to give estimates on products tree releases ahead of time, when we do not know when OS4.0 or OS4.1 is coming out, for shore. There is simply to many unknowns and by way, developers tend to be optimistic of nature, they never think worst case scenarios and they have tendency to solve one problem as the time they do not look at every thing at once, due to this will to depressing and to complicated to solve every thing at once for any one to bear, its the small puzzles that interest the developers. Different developers do different thing they do not have the complete picture, only the project manager have the full picture butt he is jugging from the developers.

Hence the give or take 6 months. That gives him an error margin by a whole year. Are you saying that his estimate is too specific?

"Different developers do different thing they do not have the complete picture, only the project manager have the full picture butt he is jugging from the developers."

Yes, and that project manager has a direct communication with Fleecy, keeping him up to date on the whole picture of whats going on and problems that might occur. Of course there is no such thing as a fool proof estimate on a development project such as this. That's why you should think of it as just that, an estimate. Just like with a weather forecast, it may or may not become true. Take it or leave it.

It’s amusing for me, so intentionally to being a prick about it, due to fact of the matter, so if I can find it funny may be otter will like to know way I think it funny this way I found it worth comment about it.

/*

*/

Yes it is, just wait and se December 2003 , every one will start complaining like we always do, way is OS4.2 not out by now, bla bla bla, just wait and Se, and if the time schedule gets changed then every one will start arguing about Hyperion / AInc going bankrupt this is the Amiga community after all, and the community will manage to bring down the companies inn the end just wait and Se.. by all bull shit spread in the tin sky, poisoning any one how might be interested inn the Amiga market from the out side, the Amiga community be immune by the poison will be the only left inn the community.

>Of course there is no such thing as a fool proof estimate on a development project such as this

And this is way it so silly really to give a specific date like December 2003, give or take 3 weeks.

>That's why you should think of it as just that, an estimate

It will never be taken like estimate by the community; it will be taken like promise like always.

If you KNOW yourself it's an "estimate" and not a "promise", why do you
(personally) still keep using the "broken promise" harang? Naysaying for the sake
of it huh? I'm glad you feel amused by all this, but it says a lot about the

You should chill out a bit.
There are very few people on ANN who are "in the know".
That's why there is so much speculation.

I think it's straightforward to say that the (few) people in the know don't
need to post anonymously.

I dont know why Redrumloa dislikes him, I dislike him because he is a liar. I believe the comment that says it best is "Fleecy never tells the truth when a lie will do". Also he's technically incompetant, which in a CTO should be frowned upon in my opinion. McEwen is a salesman, once you understand that, what and how he has done things is pretty easy to understand. I dont believe I have ever had a conversation in person with "Fleecy" that he didnt lie to me. That includes the whoppers he told at the Gateway Devcon (plus at least 6 beastiality jokes worked into his spiel).

There is no date they won't wait for. Gluttons for punishment...
