Damn, you guys have been busy lately!!! Keep up the good work, it's always nice to have some new reviews of available hardware for the classic Amiga that's been tested by "real" users.

Yep... Good work...

What it didn't say is if can I (the common amiga 1200 user) can still use my pcmcia card slot...

Well, it is an important feature to review it too!

Once upon a time there was a case adapted to make use of 1200 pcmcia too...

But I don't remember what was the producer firm... (I must to check it)

Ciao,

Raffaele

Seems to be a lot more room for PCMCIA than on previous towers, but my bet would still be on the 90 degree bend thingie-doodle. I never bought this, and I'm beginning to regret it.

In reply to Comment 2 (Raffaele):
I've got the older Elbox (Power) Tower and, as mentioned by Olegil, I use an L-shaped 90 degree adapter to connect my Squirrel to the PCMCIA slot. By using this adapter, the squirrel then sits on the bottom of the tower case and the cable then runs up to another little device attached to one of the pop-out plates on the back of the tower giving me an internal (50 pin) SCSI ribbon connector and an external (25 pin) SCSI port. You'll need something to convert the old SCSI connector on the Squirrel cable into a 25 pin male connector to attach to this device. Power Computing (www.PowerC.com) have them for UKP20 each. Looking at the pictures of the new tower, I can see no reason why the L-Adapter shouldn't work. I hope this helps.

They've all got their Pegasos boards now so they forget to whinge
about something they wouldn't buy anyway. Too busy playing Birdy
Shoot no doubt.
