I've made a small copy of my website and placed it on my AmigaOne, so for the next few weeks, if you go to www.stricq.com you will be served by an AmigaOne G4-XE/800. There's nothing really new, just the server.

I clicked on the link and got an error message saying that the page couldn't be reached. A1 bugs? Nah, just a mistyped URL: "http://www.ann.lu/www.stricq.com"
;-)

I got to ask: So? Your running Linux Apache/Coyote. You could run that on what, a 386 as well. Running Apache on OS4, now that would be note worthy.

@STRICQ

Hey are you the author of stricq? if so, it's cool that an amiga developer has an AmigaOne.

Nice cats! :-)

A suggestion: in your backdrops section, it would be good to have thumbnails of the pictures, they are 3 or 4 megs each!

Surely not? A machine that has been out longer got a webserver first? Oh wait, thats how it usually works.

Yes, I am the author of STRICQ. Unfortunately I am completely burned out on ICQ programming. I spent a number of years on it and some may remember why I started the project and even why I stopped. No need to go it that here, though.

If that were true an IBM Hollerith would be serving web pages via punch card.

Yes, I'm working on that. I'm developing a web-based photo album application, it will be running on my A1 soon.

post traumatic stress?

Anyway, sorry to hear about your sad experience.. everyone here knows we could use a nice ICQ app on MorphOS, AROS, and AmigaOS4 ;)

Apache has been running on the Terons (just like on any other Linux system) ever since the first CX models in 2001.

Let's see something remotely newsworthy or interesting (like what we're interested in, AmigaOS 4, running a web server).

You don´t have to read the news. What harm does it do to post a news item like this?
