what about USA buyers, and where can we read up about the differences in these machines? I don't really know about the betatester, does it work with MorphOS 1.4? Will it be supported in the future....I gathered that the DMA doesn't work correctly, but is there a workaround in MorphOS..so that it will work reliably...even if somewhat slowly for having turned DMA off?

...Anyway, I am taking proect submissions, along with short bio/CV of anyone who would be working on them. I will review the project proposals and if I am unsure will share that info with a few other people in Phoenix. The ones that fill gaps or look interesting will be chosen. They don't need to be so ambitious that they might set the word afire, nor need they be ones that will immediately bear fruit. I am looking for people who LIKE to develop.

You don't have to be a god of marketing or coding - you may not even have much of a track record - but you should want to progress.

In reply to Comment 19 (Hagge):
    Hi Hagge,

This may help to clarify. For every promo including this SUMMER OFFER, I am looking for what Phoenix has been operating under for years: an expanded definition of DEVELOPER.

We want people who can work with others when required, have something substantial to contribute to the growth of the Pegasos platform whether through coding, marketing, reselling, trade show organizing and support, print or web publishing, people to enter our upcoming talent pools for graphics, music or audio editing, translation and documentation, etc.

Some people see this as a way to get a cheap or even a free board but up to now the response to Pegasos boards being offered to seed development of the various categories has been incredibly positive, with little sign of abuse.

    It's good to build - the true end users will benefit! {Not to forget the SuperBundle either - codename PhuperBundle ; }

I do like to see what people send me in proposal form. If you feel what you have to say is rather modest or unformed, just think about it for awhile and get it the best you can; I am looking to see potential built by being around others with similar goals and interests, so again, don't be shy about sending me whatever your dream project at this stage might be.

Give me a break. Like you actually would supposedly be interested in getting one for real. If that would be the case, you wouldn't care what some morphos dude posts on ann, since that has nothing to do with the product itself.

There are an abundance of amiga people posting things that I consider silly but that doesen't stop ne from liking my computer. Why should a comment you see on ann stop you from trying aout a platform you've been thinking of? What has that comment have ANYTHING to do with the product itself and you in your bedroom after purchase? Hint>> ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It doesen't hinder you in any way of coding with it, playing with it, creating stuff and enjoying with it, which should be the main reasons for anyone buying a computer system.

I think you just needed to get your point thru by acting like you really wanted a machine, but after seeing one comment that don't fit your preference, changing your mind.

Trolling? Please. IF the truth is trolling then feel free to censor this post as well. Personal insult? Yeah, I guess, but from the outside it seems like BB has done some moronic things wrt the Articia/April debate and now is paying the price for it in terms of extra stock not moving.

If saying the truth is trolling, then you might as well delete this post as well.

He is the guy from phoenix, but where he is from should not matter how you go about your computing hobby. What he writes, wheter you agree with him or not should not have any impact on what you can do with your computer. For instance I have no respect for amiga inc. But does that mean I cannot like my amiga computer because I disagree with them and think they are incompetent morons? Absolutely not. As long as it does not hinder the use of my miggy. And how could it when I'm typing away safely in my bedroom. It doesen't matter what people post on the net.

You should choose a computer system by choosing something that fits your needs. I am no big fan of Bill Gates or AMD but their products gets the job done so I don't really care what they say in public as long as the hardware/software fulfills my needs.

If you find a pegasos worthwhile hardware wise you should definitely try it out regardless whether you agree with greenboys views or not. This of course considering you really were interested as you first posted.

For the rest of you here...;-)

    1. The SuperBundle contents will be announced at AmiWest.
    2. All the boards being sold with the exception of the April 2 boards are used.
    3. The Betatester boards do have bugs related to the OLD non-April Articia northbridge.
    4. The April 1 boards work better, but still not perfectly.
    5. The April 2 boards work fine.
    6. The G4 card will work electrically with all the boards, but frankly speaking it is not very interesting option for the Betatester boards (just opinion -- maybe one of you crazy guys can do something!)

Maybe because of Ben's "it's illegal. they saw the code"-BS that was flying
all around here at that time ?

Or maybe because Hyperion thought they could pull OS4 out of their own heads in
just a few months (atleast that is what they told us back than).

Maybe because Hyperion insisted on stuff like P96 or ReAction when there were
allready working counterparts in MOS (CGX/MUI-PPC).

Maybe because they allready knew that H&P wouldn't release the OS3.5/9 sources
to Hyperion, and therefore thought that Hyperion had nothing usefull to offer.

Maybe because they never got asked ?
