I have just uploaded new update of PowerD, it contains mostly bug fixes and few new improvements. Feel free to download it and check
it. To get more information about this language, please take a look at PowerD homepage.
PowerD is very powerful programming language with syntax similar to AmigaE. It support both, 68k and PowerPC processors. It works flawlessly under AmigaOS 3.1 - 3.9 and also under MorphOS. If You are interested, or if You have any ideas or comments, feel free and send me an email.

New update of PowerD programming language : Comment 2 of 9 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Peter Gordon on 30-Jun-2003 08:20 GMT | In reply to Comment 1 (Elwood): We can only hope ;) I really would like an AmigaE-a-like that generated OS4 native apps. Its too early to worry just yet, though, OS4 isn't even out! |

New update of PowerD programming language : Comment 3 of 9 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Martin Kuchinka on 30-Jun-2003 16:37 GMT | In reply to Comment 2 (Peter Gordon): OS4 support is only question of it's release. I believe it won't be problem,
because PowerD already supports PowerPC, and everything else is just a question
of some minor modifications... I don't need anything more, that some time and
some feedback ;) |

New update of PowerD programming language : Comment 4 of 9 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Peter Gordon on 30-Jun-2003 17:17 GMT | In reply to Comment 3 (Martin Kuchinka): In theory, will it be simple to compile MOS native, OS4 native, and 68k binaries from the same PowerD sources, once all 3 targets are implemented? |

New update of PowerD programming language : Comment 6 of 9 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Chain|Q on 30-Jun-2003 21:20 GMT | In reply to Comment 4 (Peter Gordon): This is already possible with 68k native and classic PPC kernel executables... (Of course it's wise to slightly modify the sources, to avoid some context switches when compiling for PPC, but this will not be a problem any more for MOS/OS4/whatever.)
Other: MOS support on it's way AFAIK, since Martin already has a Pegasos... :) |

New update of PowerD programming language : Comment 7 of 9 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Martin Kuchinka on 01-Jul-2003 04:30 GMT | In reply to Comment 6 (Chain|Q): Yes, direct MOS and OS4 support shouldn't be problem. MOS should be here sooner,
because I have all the documentation, I need. I hope. But OS4 support should be
somehow more compatible with WarpOS, which is now supported directly, so it
should be simplier to support it... Well, only the time will show... I hope,
direct MOS support will be finished before the end of holidays... |
