"Northland" for the Macintosh should start shipping from the middle of august and preordering from our webstore will start next week, when the demoversion of Northland for the Mac will be launched. My, this game looks really graphic intensive. I really doubt 128MB RAM
will be enough to run it on Pegasos.

Looking forward for the demo. If it will be the same quality as the previous E.P.I.C. games for MorphOS, I'll definitely buy it too.

Sorry, I've lost you.

You mean "exclusive MorphOS games"? Of course most of them are ports. (I didn't had a single "original" title for my BlizzPPC save for Payback maybe))

Or you mean "native"? AFAIK Knights and Merchants is native MorphOS.

In either case it has little to do with my purchase - if it will perform well and will be rock stable, I see no problem.

It's ok, seems we had a little ilcomunicado ;)

I was under the impression that you (or was it someone else?) meant that they already had alot of "MOS-Only" games (iow, non AOS, non WOS, non PPC)

Cheers

Actually the international pc version will be released in the middle of august by GMX Media. And yes, it is also getting positive reviews from outside of germany, where it scored 80% or more in the main magazines.

if 128 is enought for osx then the half will be largely enough for
morphos ;)

A Strategy game. So 80's.

Only MorphOS could get such quality game...
Instead of "modern" FPS crap.

Maybe it is a sign that I'm getting old ;)

Are all you done with the circle jerk yet?

Have you not yet concluded that the rest of us could care for your spin on the world? "MOS exclusive" titles. Right. yaaawn!

Strange, it runs really well on Macs for a "MOS-only" game. So does
Birdie Shoot.

There are, of course, no MOS-only games. It would make no sense
whatsoever to invest money for an exclusive in such a non-market.

(Note: this applies to OS4 as well; there probably won't be any
OS4-only games. So don't say I'm bashing, just being realistic.)

Usually I am not into strategy games, but
Northland's theme and the fact that it seems
to have some adventure/rpg elements make it
quite interesting. I will certainly try the
demo version. The screenshots showing some
apparent "dungeon" exploration piqued my interest. :)

"Divine Divinity" also looks great and
more the style of game I like to play too.
I wonder how DD is progressing?

In reply to Comment 25 (Kelly Samel):
Divine Divinity is getting there slowly. Fortunately for us Northland was developed with some degree of portability in mind, and with a very clean structure, which is why it has been possible relatively quickly (for a game port!) along with some very hard work by Paul.

Divinity is less tidy and in places very much Windows specific (especially the Unicode stuff) and it has taken me a while to reorder things as well as integrate the latest code from the updates. There have been other personal mishaps along the way to delay things however.

The good news is the Mac and MorphOS releases of Divinity will have all the latest fixes and patches as standard so there will be no upgrading and patching later on to render saved games useless. OpenGL support will come in a future update, but the game plays very well with most effects in software mode (although I have not yet determined whether some of the more advanced effects will require a G4 cpu)

..thats right. attack the MOS platform because its getting some games.

You like FPS games? fair enough. Quake2 sourcecode is out there.
lots of people attacked the AmigaOS version...lets see if you can
make the MOS version ...maybe make it better? ;-)

Quake 3 Arena sourcecode is also available now. I don't know what the terms are though. Still would make a nice port for Pegasos.

As I said before, I'm not really into 3D fps games...

And about me making Quake 2 port for MorphOS?

Can't really see any reason, why I should bother...

Reasons:

1. There's already one (but it's currently unreleased beta)
2. I don't really care that much about FPS games.
3. I rather concentrate on my own software projects.
