No. Most of us get hundreds of messages a day saying "click on this", "go to this web site".

A news post needs to give a short summary of why it is interesting. A couple of sentences is enough. A bare link is not.

That took about 1.5 seconds. I 100% agree with Don that posters of software updates/news should include a brief description.
