My comment for the visibility:

HORRAAAYYYYYYYY!

My comment for the word they used:

Not so bad, not so bad...

(they seem astonished it could exist such an Amiga Motherboard, ***just think at their words: «suspiciously Mini-ITX sized»*** and they had also a point of good paternalistic humor)

At least, not so bad at at all!

Have they got a forum bit where we can troll with anti-Amiga comments just to try and kill
any interest in it?

"reached prototype stage at Eyetech," "new generation of Amiga hardware," "mega-array socket," "Amigaworld.net," "Sven and Mike."

Wow! Factually incorrect false marketing! Hype and stupidity! Linking to a corporate fan site! Sven (Harvey) and Mike (Bouma)!

DEJAVU OVERLOAD!
Wake me up when a real company starts selling the new Teron at real prices to a real market.

If you actually read it properly, the "suspiciously ITX sized" is a reference to it coming from Yorkshire, not a slight against the board.

Not so sure if it will be sold as 'Teron' at all, the Teron isn't even a retail
board as such, at least not in the general market. Apparently "that taiwanese
corp." is designing the board after input from Mai and Eyetech. And maybe it
will only be sold as Amiga (meaning AmigaOne+OS4.x), that would be cool so to say ;-)

Ciao, Alex

ps: as if the PegII wasn't hyped for being on sale in Sep 03... wherizit? ;-)

It would be cool if Eyetech don't want to sell much boards. ;-) I think for a good priced Mini-ITX boards without AmigaOS is also a market. I don't know why Eyetech should ignore this Linux market. It would be stupid.

I notice your smiley, but that would indeed suck. It would even suck more than the current situation, when the exact same hardware will have to be sold separately to an artificially cut off "Amiga hardware market" for no good reason at all.

What is it with these few Luddite fanatics stuck in the 1980's that actually WANT "a new Amiga" instead of having access to the same hardware market as everybody else, and want it so hard that they're welcoming the commercial fscking-up of AmigaOS just to make it a bit easier to pretend that their dream has come true?

On it's way, if we're to believe the marketing... ISTR that the September date was later clarified/back-pedaled to mean a release to developers or something.
Odd that you mention it though; AInc won't allow AmigaOS to be ported to it and sold for it without the licensing/bundling/dongling insanity, so unfortunately it can't be directly on-topic for this AmigaOS thread.

There's not a whole lot stopping you from running Aros on "industry standard hardware". If you like mini-itx, there's quite a few boards to choose from.
