Another good report

Can't see any report, except massive cheerleading and bias towards OS4. Not a single mention of Pegasos show being held at the same time (only mention is that he had a talk with Genesi crew that "was present there").

"AmigaOS4 was running stable on the AmigaOne."
Funny that others report it crashed multiple times. So who do you believe, Mike Bouma or individual reports?

"My general impression is that AmigaOS4 is near completion..."
It has been near completion for few years now.

But then again, this is the infamous Mike Bouma, so what would you expect... Some honest and balanced reporting?

Pictures are nice, though.

Yes, AOS4 did crash afew times (The grim reaper came up) but nothing as bad as the Italian showreports suggested.

Cheers

What kind of software there was running on AmigaOne? I've seen only Quake and system utils so far. MakeCD, RoadShow, anything else?

I saw Hollywood, Payback (really slow loading from CD-Rom) the Aros demo's. And someone tried nearly all the OS4 preference programms.

LOL you make me laugh, of all the shows where peg. and morphOS get mentioned and OS4 doesn't much, and now we have ONE report which talks about OS4 because that is what interests the person and you go off? I think you need to take some meds ......

I think he used some time commenting the images, and I think nice to folks post reports, he can easy not post an report if that is what you think is the best thing,

I think this report where interesting, where where some info for the AOS4.0 interested, oh yes he should probably put it like it is, this a AOS4.0 report in the heading to worn you from reading it.

about tow to tree weeks before the gfx system is in place I think that is good news. any way I where expecting it, in fact I where expecting some thing like one to tow weeks, remember thy are working full time, and the gfx system is mostly in place all ready,

(okey it might take them some longer to remove the gfx bugs and make it stable)

what really limit my programming is all this talk,

Any way if like to Se what can do...

I know there is Kjetil at AROS project, I like to make it clear I lake to make it clear I'm not doing any thing whit AROS, if you have i686 computer running linux, and like to try the beta well, it's not stable, I not fixed the color conversion on the brushes when going from 8bit to 16bit resolution, I'm currently converting most of it to SDL now...

In reply to Comment 10 (Kolbjørn Barmen):
Write normally i use the same spelling error over and over, , variable names and functions names i create will have the same consistency in the spelling error all over the source code.

the C compiler will report most errors like:

tte.c:7: `sfasdf' undeclared (first use in this function)
tte.c:10: parse error before "mega"

any way I stay clear of assembler where one hex number can fuckup every thing, many thats why used use basic on the Amiga, guru's where nothing for me.

------------------

We must point out that quake run NOT under Aos4 on AMigaOne, but under linux (something that a PPC board can do from 1997), that under AmigaOne ran the same programs of Empoli and that some points of some reports are really really ambigous.
To clear the step, SOMEONE (not mention that dog, Eva) mixed Aos4, Moovid, AmogaOne, Quake and so on with something near tooo and Aos4 on AMigaOne that ran Quake, a FAKE (dear B. dog).
Quake ran UNDER Linux. AmigaOss4 (both Cyberstorm and Aone version) is NOT comparable in no way to Mos 1.4.
Sigh, without adding that someone reported a slow QUake2 on Pegasos, that ran ENSTEAD pretty well also in 1024*768 without hardware acceleration.
But a a****w***.* reporter is unable to be balanced, right? :D

to the best of my knowledge, Quake was run from OS4, there is a native binary for OS4 now and I can't see why they wouldn't run that. Eva, please stop talking about things that you think are true but really don't know..

And it ran at 91 FPS according to Ryu's show report! That was just a software renderer too. Quite encouraging, considering the graphics stuff is not yet PPC native.

Saw a string "Amiga Quake" in the BAS video. And Quake was started from WB. Whatever, Quake running at 91fps is not amusing in year 2003.

Eva, You are making total fool of yourself. Everytime you open your mouth we can see that you really don't know what you are talking about :) That your Quake statement is a good example. OS4 PPC native Quake 1 was run on AmigaOne.
