Comes with NewGUI and searchengine. http://benderirc.de/newgui/index.html#apps some restrictions are present, pls take a look into the readme file. the stream is saved on disk, so have space left :) Support for AmigaAMP. The "internal" player uses actual external mpega but this will change. Suggestions for Design, Handling , Features are welcome.

yes yes. nice with a shoutcast client. but why why why a new GUI system?
Why not use one of the ones that are more or less standard? I dont need another
beta GUI system. I am happy with the ones I already have.
Go for MUI or Reaction, that will make it work a lot better with AOS4 and the likes.

You wont use a piece of software because of the GUI toolkit it uses? What about the features? Jeez.

Yes. You understood it correctly.

Very cool app, but unfortunately the GUI resembles OS1.3 with no
filling in buttons. As has been said, a Reaction GUI of this would
look very professional on OS4.0, and not too bad on OS3.5+.

We sure appriciate all your hard work. Regarding NewGUI,
one suggestion would be to mimick the OS4 look, with gradients
in the buttons, or at least, just a grey color, i.e. the Amiga
3D Look. That would help a lot :). Thanks...

We think it is great!

Certainly a GUI needs to be developed, but it all fits into a bigger concept. Here is an example:

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/031027/na_fin_us_file_swapping_alternative_2.html

The aggressive tactics of the music industry only serve to accelerate the pace of innovation, the goal of which seeks to avoid the barriers to what the market clearly wants -- declines in sharing (thievery, stealing, trespassing, etc.) on Kazaa not withstanding. Surely, there is much more to come. And, after music, movies, etc.

This is all running in a good way to a Pegasos TiVo like device that is much more than a PVR.

R&B

Hail to people who dare to write a GUI of their own. If you're not
satisfied with what's out there, don't let yourself get distracted
from naysayers. Make your application indispensable, feature-wise.
It's ridiculous for them to argue in terms of 'standards' when we
are talking of MUI and Reaction, leave alone the Amiga platform.
