I´ve released NRG2ISO for AmigaOS. It converts Nero Images to ISO Images so they can be written to CD-R on Amiga for example with MakeCD. You can download it

If you use Nero, you probably are under Win. So use MagicISO to do an ISO image...

In reply to Comment 6 (Elwood):
Well, having to use such a converter means one has a NGR image but doesn't use NERO, thus may not use Windows.

Wow. Sounds good. Proprietary formats suck. It's nice to have such utility.

In reply to Comment 8 (tony):
yep, and/or any other CDR burning software.

Why not some kind of API for such a purpose ? Thus, this would enable
conversion of other images format to another, by adding modules, and
would be useable by any CDR burning software, not having to reinvent
the wheel for each of them.

ex : isoconvert.library, and in some kind of ISO/ subdir in libs :
"nero.converter", "discjuggler.converter", "primocd.converter", and so
on...

And no, I'm not qualified for such a job, just submitting an idea.

@#5

I know the design is horrible, the font isn´t correct and so on .... but please .... this tool was ment to be used by MYSELF ONLY ! I only released it, because some guys asked about it and I thought it may be useful for some people out there :-)

But I think there WILL be an update, because this tool has been supported to NOT WORK with MorphOS 1.4 .... so even if I don´t have anything newer than A2000/060 and A4000/040, and no money for buying a Pegasos, I may try to make this thing at least work under MOS 1.4, even if it will not be a native version !

You know that soon I will be taking 100 of the Pegasos I boards that are traded in for Pegasos II boards and selling them to qualifying developers for 99 Euros? Perhaps you might want to think about going this route for software development. That's damn affordable for a machine and OS that many of us find very enjoyable to use and develop with.

great work! a few little bits, but the tool is 100% useful.

now, just need a CDI (DiskJuggler) to ISO tool and
things are very sweet. one or two less reasons to borrow
a friends PC :-)

In reply to Comment 16 (Alan LM Buxey):
Hmmm, CDI is a bit more complicated, because it can also contain audio tracks from CD, so you have to extract them seperately ....

But I´ll see what I can do ;-)

In reply to Comment 17 (RetroMan):
CDI can also contain several SESSIONS in the same Image (it may not
be the only format supporting this), which can't be burnt at once with
ISO format without altering the position of the second session on the
CD, if compared to the original.

There was an old port of CDRecord (and associated tools) for the Amiga. It was never released AFAIK. But it supports CDI images (not tested!).
