Genesi is pleased to announce that they will be exhibiting at the upcoming Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE) along with other Linux solutions providers such as IBM, Novell and Debian. This exciting Linux event will be occurring later this month on November, 22nd, 2003 at the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.
You will find Genesi at booth #42 on the exhibitor's floor. Representing
Genesi are co-owners Raquel Velasco and Bill Buck as well as Paul Adams and
Thomas Morris of the Genesi USA offices. They will be demonstrating the
company's all-new PowerPC hardware solution running several variants of
Linux, including Debian, as well as OpenBSD and Genesi's own MorphOS.
MorphOS is a preemptive multitasking operating system that combines a modest
memory footprint with scalability, high performance, and amazing ease of use
for developers and end users. Its beautifully designed interface and modular
object-oriented design offers a modern solution and is supplied with the
Pegasos hardware.

Genesi Announces Appearance at Southern California Linux Expo : Comment 1 of 11 | ANN.lu |
Posted by bbrv on 16-Nov-2003 18:15 GMT | Everyone in Genesi will be a co-owner soon...;-)
Anyway, Dale Rahn, who recently joined Genesi will be there too. Dale is responsible for Genesi being included in the OpenBSD 3.4 release and is working on a number of projects currently, including those with ShopIP and NetWolves. At the Expo the FreeBSD Booth is right across the isle from Genesi, so we are sure Dale will be spending some time moving back and forth...;-)
Come by and say HI!

Posted by Christian Kemp on 16-Nov-2003 18:55 GMT | In reply to Comment 3 (Gelb): Yes, indeed. Seeing how out-of-proportion some things are blown by some people, it better be. (Which is why I pondered if I should remove your copy&paste or not, but decided that it's better to be open about such things than risk having that backfire.) |

Anyway...:-)
Gelb, there is nothing getting past you!

Genesi Announces Appearance at Southern California Linux Expo : Comment 7 of 11 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Kermit Woodall on 16-Nov-2003 19:48 GMT | In reply to Comment 2 (Gelb): I'm afraid I drew that QNX confusion from an error in a review someone wrote on MorphOS that I read long before joining Genesi.
Thanks to Christian it was fixed asap!

Genesi Announces Appearance at Southern California Linux Expo : Comment 9 of 11 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Christian Kemp on 16-Nov-2003 20:01 GMT | In reply to Comment 8 (Christian Kemp): (To elaborate: I was afraid that if I removed Gelb's comment, someone would be quick to jump in and accuse me of being a Winston Smith... ie. I think when an error is made, it's better to admit it where appropriate, rather than trying to eliminate every reference to it.)
(But this just concerns me and the dilemmas a moderator has to face.) |
