It's got some good lines, however, using a picture of the Friedens to describe the "true amigans" and then going to say that "true amigans" are stupid, can't program, can't write well etc is downright insulting.

How would any of you like to be used as an example of what's wrong in the community?

Grow out of this noncence & get on with your lives, this red vs blue is downright pityfull.

Cheers

Don't be ridiculous!

What about the people pictured in the MorphOS species, with the article poking fun at them as well?! Do they matter less?

I find it tasteless, i do have a sense of humor, a very good one even, but thinly disguised insults are still insults.

If they had used a pic of me eg, i wouldn't even have blinked, but using a picture of 2 of the best coders the amiga community still has is tasteless

Like i said, anyone still involved with the community is an amigan, i don't use the term "true amigan", and if it were only aimed at AW.Net, i'd have shrugged it off, using a picture of the Friedens as an example for that kind of amigans, and then going on that they can't code, write or make logical assumptions is simply a thinly hidden insult.

But very well, 2 can play that game, if this is what you all love, i'll think of some insults for some prominent genesi people, wrap a semi humourous text arround it & post it on wrongpla.net & ann.lu, lets see how many will come & whine then.

(If you guys still don't have a clue what i'm talking about then you are sadder then i expected)

Cheers

@Amon_re

Agreed.

Sometimes I find wrongpla.net to be really funny, but I've got to say that a lot of it is simply insults thinly disguised as comedy.

I too found the pictures of the Friedens as pretty tasteless - I mean they don't even involve themselves in the usual mud-slinging.

Cheers, Ian

Problem with a picture of you would have been, that nobody knows you.
The Friedens of the Friedens is quite appropriate at that they are a symbol for all what True Amigans follow and are about.

And then again, to remind you: WP is not about politics and it would be nice if people could stop to desperately try to drag WP into any such direction to please their agendas.

Go ahead and try it, but I doubt it would be funny because there aren't many lines of criticism open towards Genesi. Pegasos 2 is late, Pegasos 1 is buggy, MorphOS is still in beta, and erm, uh, hmm... Wow, that was funny! Great satire...! Not.

But then we look at the other camps, the 'Red Side' in particular, and the opportunities for satire come thick and fast. If its not Hermans making incredibly lame excuses and attacks, its some idiot demanding 64bit x86 for the next AmigaONE or saying something equally stupid.

So unless that changes, I can't see satire being anything less than biased against the 'Red Side'. Otherwise it wouldn't be satire.

I thought it was funny, some of it was even bordering on witty.

It's a massive bias in the jokes concerning the "two sides" though. Red trolls
the 'scum of the earth', the blue trolls an 'elite group', huh? I don't consider
myself part of either group, but to claim "Wrong Planet is not about politics"
is kinda funny all in itself.

I didn't see any picture of the Friedens though. The monkey with a boing ball
was probably much funnier a picture. Replacing the MOS-picture with a bunch of
naked loons chasing butterflies on a meadow would give some more class and
balance to the satire, I'd say.

There were 7 or 8 pages too, all funny, why you want to go off and ham it up with being so offended by a joke. We should be happy this community has some talented satirists!

FANTASTIC NEWS!

In some recent file studies, several counts of Original Amigans (Amigum Sapiens Sapiens) have been found!

This species was thought to be extinct! indeed, a recent article highlighting
the large diverse Amigan species [Wrong Planet] had this sub-species closed.

The population density is very very low. indeed, we estimate that there are perhaps only a few in the UK isles and only a dozen on mainland Europe.
Isolated individuals may be isolated on the other world continents.

Unfortunately their density may be too low to allow for any continuation of
this species, even if they are using the internet to communicate to each other.
Their main method of direct contact used to be annual Amiga shows and monthly printed magazines. The other sub-species can use internet to communicate
far more successfully

Stop the PRESS!!

Amigum Elitis Morphus Superior, also known as Bill Buck, has found out, after many hours of IP tracing and IRC'ing who's behind wrongpla.net.

In a very civil and informative exchange of emails, the webmasters were convinced of the suprimacy of the Amigum Elitis Morphus Superior race and were offered a job and given a Pegasos for free. After feeling very flattered by this offer, they decided to adopt Amigum Elitis Morphus Superior's very known self-idolatry resulting in a bias towards that race while discrimination is strictly illegal.

"This is utterly nonsense", said their spokesman, "We remain totally neutral and unbiased just like Amiga.org, ANN.lu and MorphOS-news.de and morphzone.org."

Sceptics count the days until the first censorship of Amigum Scatologica Fanatica will be a fact.
