Merry Christmas from a newly formed team in the Amiga market! Merry Christmas from a new team in the Amiga market: Coyote Flux and individual Computers are working together on a basis of a contract that has been signed on october 1st, 2003. The young programmer-team also has a new website under www.coyoteflux.nl. The two brothers Sharwin and Rakesh Raghoebardayal became famous in the Amiga community for various projects like PPC680x0 (a 68K to PowerPC assembly translator), the sound editing system Coyotesound, photogrammetry software J Miner and more high-quality software.

Individual Computers is known for many hardware products for Amiga computers, specialized PC hardware and retro-computing projects. Serving private customers and professionals like the US computer forensic department of defense, individual Computers mass-produces own designs, and does contract work for other parties.

With more than 50 years combined experience and detailled knowledge about the target markets, the newly formed team is geared towards development of new hard- and software applications. The sales and marketing contacts of individual Computers will make the products available worldwide in more than 40 countries.

The first project of this cooperation is Kickflash OS4. Coyote Flux provided the firmware of the product that has been sent to the resellers yesterday. We hope that all users of classic Amigas will enjoy a fast cold-start time of their computers with this product, and are looking forward to more projects in the near future.

In time for the Christmas days, the toplevel domain server problems in Gabon have been resolved. Our domain http://ami.ga is working again.

I was always under the impression that Sharwin and Rakesh were working for MorphOS/Pegasos/Genesi.

Did i get this wrong? (just a question)

I am sure these people are talented. I did once watch a pissing contest in programming terms, and talent is often driven by the desire to be the best, outlandish, aggressive, arrogant, call it what you will and the two boys 'seem' to have it in spades.

However, having it alone does nothing, prooves nothing. I suspect the story behind the now broken relationship (maybe its not, maybe they still work together?) might be a very interesting story indeed.

Coyote Flux has been my fav amiga dev crew for some time. They have some really innovative prods. To bad we haven't seen more .exe files getting released yet. But I suspect that will change once AOS4 is out! =)

Well, I don't know the details. I only know there's now bad blood between Coyote Flux and Genesi. I think it had something to do with payments.. or rather, non-payments.

Genesi should go into the porn industry:

* Lots of money
* The pioneers when it comes to payment methods for online services
* Online multimedia services

Create the ultimate computer for online sex services, and business will be swell.

Sounds like a great product. I like the idea of having one in my A3000 with a 1.2, 2.0, 3.0 images stored and real 3.1 attached for maximum backward compatability.

break out with the details for those of us that havent heard it yet then, because so far the only thing I've heard is "I heard Genesi didn't pay somebody"

How do you know it's happened more than once, how do you know the same vague rumor just hasn't been heard from more than one source and you've interpreted that as multiple ocassions, even though it's the same vague rumor?

I'm not asking for court dockets mind you, but something more than "Genesi didn't pay someone" If this were true, why wouldn't that "someone" come public?

they have announced cool stuff and posted screenshots for ages but the only thing (as far as i know) they have released for the Amiga (classic amigas that is) ppc68xblahh.. whatever it is called (weird name, nice software) .. their 68k>ppc code converter. or.. what are you aiming at with your reply?

You wont get no more details from me. As i talked to the person in private over IRC. I wont give his name out. He was not very happy with the lack of cash from Genesi, that's all. However he told me that Genesi was not very happy with him either as he was among the very few that didnt shut up about it, so you will probably hear it from him sooner or later in some way or another...

a shame but its good to see that they want to move on and put everything behind them...

cheers guys

If they havent been paid, they really have no reason to put it behind them, I wouldn't. I'd bitch till I was paid.

Too many secrets. If someone's screwing you, scream at the top of your lungs so the rest of us are alerted to the problem. this goes to both red and blue issues.

We need to be more public about these things. We need to make the Amiga community a sunny open environment where everyone knows what's going on rather than the dank dark environment that fosters bacteria growth and allows secrets to be kept lurking in shadow.

Personally, i'd try & settle things behind doors first, going public would be the 'last resort'.

Why? Because it's usually counter productive, if all else fails however, there is no choice :(

screaming and trolling aint always the way of dooing stuff, and i am sure what they did now didnt ruin the pleasure of using amiga atleast..
