flashtros of amiga cracktros

... what language is this written in?? Hey everyone... as someone pointed out here earlier, there seems to be an increasing number of posts of diminishing quality. Remember the moderated comp.sys.amiga.announce forum? Why isn't it in use anymore? I don't think the community has ever needed that service more than it does today.

Read the ANN post again. What is the poster trying to say? Does he (she) want me to download something? Does he (she) want me to use one of the weblinks provided? What "conversations" is he (she) talking about?

I'd really like to urge posters of every public community forum to think before posting. Keep your standards up and high, and think of good USENET "netiquette".

Merry Christmas, everyone!

This is the first time I hear terms as "flashtros" and "cracktros", but using a bit of the gray matter I have in my head I think that the guy's talking about conversions in MacroMedia Flash format of some "cracktros", which, from the sound of it, should be the intros that cracked Amiga games would show when loaded.

I might be totally wrong, though.

This quality isn't bad -- let people be poetic if they like. ;-)

Why don't you check the web site and see?

Does he (she) want me to use one of the weblinks provided?

That's usually why they're submitted.

What "conversations" is he (she) talking about?

I guess it'd help if you read the post correctly: it says "conversions," not "conversations." Don't blame the writer if the breakdown was on your side.

I'd really like to urge posters of every public community forum to think before posting. Keep your standards up and high, and think of good USENET "netiquette".

Right.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

From me, too. (Here in Japan, Christmas isn't an official holiday, so I'm stuck at the office. Our family will have Christmas on Saturday -- prior arrangement with Santa. :-) )

bullseye, i couldn't have said it better. Macromedia Flash seems to be the right tool to keep the amiga spirit alive. also check this IK+ conversion. pretty cool stuff
