The link just gives me a downloadable XML file. Should it be displayed in the browser?

In reply to Comment 1 (Don Cox):
You need a RSS reader and obviously there aren't for Amiga.
When I'vee asked, I've been told 'well since RSS recalls news format
you can adapt a news reader'. ;(
So I downloaded a RSS reader for Windows and I happly use it. ;)

Choose the one you prefer from here:

Btw, glad to see that Amiga people start using modern tecnology! :)
Great idea, Cloanto!

That is the whole idea. RSS News Feeds are in XML-format. To read them directly in readable format you need some sort of parser.

No Amiga browser can display the structure of XML files or even generate HTML (or a fancy looking website) from it using XSL or CSS. Also, I'm not sure if PC browsers can do the latter.

But Cloanto might use XSLT on their server for converting the XML code to HTML for Browsers. No big issue.

"Also, I'm not sure if PC browsers can do the latter."

Netscape 7.1 shows the following comment:

"This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

and then the XML file.

In reply to Comment 5 (Jan Smite):
Within the XML file at Cloanto's website there's no reference to a XLS or CSS file (which could tell the browser how to display the page). So if Netscape is grousing, it seems that it really cannot handle this on it's own.

Didn't know of it... Nice thing!
Not exactly a RSS reader like PC ones, but handy toy for AmIRC ;-)

Here it's an url:

For others: RSS feeds aren't intended for use within a web browser.
