Just sadly have to say that AmiGOD2 suxx as to messure preformance.

1. Result differes depending on what tests are selected
2. Repeate tests makes results better

There is need for a really good benchmark software for the Amiga/Pegasos/DraCo, otherwise it's really pointless to try to compare results.

In reply to Comment 350 (Kronos):
>1. AInc only turned back to AOS when they found out that all their grand
>plans of an DE/intent based OS were just based on false assuptions (like the
>possibilty to add MP to it).

No, they have not "turned back to" AmigaOS. The initial plan to replace the classic AmigaOS product line with this entirely new OS (AmigaOS5) has not been changed, they just changed the modus operandi. Instead of making a clean cut from the classic AmigaOS product line, they intend to gradually replace it, piece by piece. AmigaOS5 will offer backwards compatibility through an AmigaOS4 "sandbox", kind of like how MacOS9 and higher offers backwards compatibility with old 68k MacOS applications.

>2. The DE wasn't going anywhere in terms of a pre-installed user-base,
>leaving AInc with little to no income.

Unfortunately, certain partnerships didn't turn out as expected, no. Why rub it in?

>3. They recognize that their is still money to be made on AOS.

LOL! What planet are you living on? I doubt the AmigaOS4 sales will even cover the costs for the still to be delivered Club Amiga T-Shirts. Get real.

>4. They think they hold all the good cards, and play a game of poker.

No, you're the one playing and betting on "guestimates".

>5. bPlan (and also H&P) have no interest in what the see as game which has
>them riden down as loosers from start. AInc is out of options, and realize
>that they have to step down a bit.

I'm no fool, Kronos. Genesi is trying with every means available to them in order to get their hands on the Amiga brand and IP. Where were you the day Bill Buck and Wayne Hunt made the assumption that they had won the court case against Amiga Inc. because Amiga Inc.'s lawyer asked for permission to leave and withdraw as counsel? The very same day, they spread the information that Amiga Inc. had lost all over the internet and put Amiga's brands and trademarks all over their website. Pretty hypocritical by someone claiming to not wanting nor needing the brand, isn't it?

>7. They negotiate with Hyperion (rumour says they also tried other before).

Yes, Hyperion stepped in when there was noone else and thank the gods for that, I wouldn't even want to imagine what would've happened if they didn't.

>8. They come to an agreement that pretty much means that Hyperion has all the
>rights to OS4.

Well, until Amiga Inc. decides to take it back in-house, that is. It's a good deal for both parties, but especially Amiga Inc. who gets to focus all their resources on the AmigaDE instead, just like they planned from the beginning.

>Also note that AInc never ever invested a single dime into OS4 or the A1,
>while they had no problem cashing in on pre-payments/coupons twice (and long
>before there was anything to pre-pay for).

What pre-payments? There was no pre-payments. People joined the Club Amiga for $50 and in return they will get a rebate on those products for the same amount as soon as AmigaOnes with AmigaOS4 are available. Please stop dragging this all up again and again everytime someone even as much as mentions Amiga Inc. You're not even a Club Amiga member yourself which makes this none of your concern to begin with.

>About negoting terms:
>There a points where you can negotiate, and there are points where it would
>just be a waste of time since the other side seems to be living on another
>planet.

You're right. Could you please tell your friends over at Genesi that we're on a planet called Tellus and that we'll be the first to welcome them when they land. :-P

>Why did they turn their back to me?

They never did. They outsourced the development of the Amiga product line for the very reason of completely focusing their own resources on the AmigaDE only. The reason for the slow progress of the AmigaDE has NOTHING to do with the classic Amiga product line, but rather some unfortunate turn of events for their partnerships. The AmigaDE should and would have been pre-installed on many Sharp and Nokia products by now... :-(

You don't know what you are talking about. Amiga Inc. made false
promises by mail, forum and chat, tried to push development forward,
and then cut it completely. Suddenly they recognized that they were
too incompetent and illiterate to handle their own vision. For not
getting called liars, they invented an additional conspiracy circle
(called "SDA" or software development agreement), and effectively
locked out about 2980 of the 3000 registered developers.

I'm sometimes tempted to wish this bunch of dishonourable losers
personal misery, such as executed by people like Rich Woods. But I
don't, it would be sufficient if they turned belly-up.
