TranspoClock 1.0 released! : Comment 1 of 15 | ANN.lu |
Posted by itix on 15-Jan-2004 22:36 GMT | Very cool. But why not separate reminder part and make it its own system app in MorphOS? I think there could be use for reminder/auto-launcher utility. And since there isn't clock util in MorphOS (not that I really miss one...) why not make it system util as well? |

TranspoClock 1.0 released! : Comment 6 of 15 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Kjetil on 16-Jan-2004 06:22 GMT | I remember writing an app some thing like this inn BlitzBasic, for my Amiga500, the only problem where that my HD drive did not work at the time & no internet, and the effort where useless for me, an I normally swapped boot-block disk inn and out (games), so the event alerter never where started.
An utility like this comes really handy when remembering birthdays, keeping track of holidays and other events, maybe I restart the effort for AmigaOS4.0, if I do then this time I make in download page on the net. |

Posted by hooligan/dcs on 16-Jan-2004 06:31 GMT | Definetely. This is a good chance for a spin-off for a scheduler. Add some more options and a nice graphical way to present the reminder ("Postman Pat delivering mail"-animation? :-) and there it is.. a full blown scheduler.
There might be some similar utilites in Aminet, but I doubt none of them are MOS-native.. this is, I presume? |

Posted by Jacek Piszczek on 16-Jan-2004 08:52 GMT | In reply to Comment 1 (itix): Hm... separating the reminder and the clock part shouldn't be that hard, but it won't be fun for sure. No fun, no coding :) As for making it a system util: sure, I've nothing against bundling this app with MOS. |

Posted by Peter Gordon on 16-Jan-2004 09:25 GMT | Yeah, a scheduler is a cool thing, but i'll stick with the one built into my Nokia phone ;) That way I get alerts even if my computer is off... |
