Hehe... well... A4k and A3k are as usefull as the A2k... BUT.. I believe that the option to run the VT[2] or VT[3] in an AmigaONE or Pegasos would be really cool.

Great to see some efforts for a port for VT2 & VT3 for PC UAE/Amithlon, Aone/AmigaOS4 & Pegasos/MOS.

there is a little market on these systems, more boards sold on these computers.

What Amiga community need is a Real recognition from Newtek, showning and announcing an official support for that effort of porting their news hardware on news Amiga and Amiga compatible systems.

Newtek should help the developpers, because these will help them to improve a little their users on new alternative markets.

for example an NDA should signed with the amiga developpers and a VT2 or VT3 pci should be allowed for each developpers.

Source of Windows software should be allowed too for Amiga developpers to let them do a real port of newtek windows softwares.

but I think currently it is not the case... no official support of Newtek...

In reply to Comment 10 (toP):
It's unlikely that NewTek would expend efforts to port new products to the Amiga platform unless new Amigas started outselling PC's.

The new systems do need some kind of nonlinear editing software. It would be great to port over MovieShop to OS4. It's no longer being developed by MacroSystems but even today, it's a very powerful contender. Perhaps in light of NewTek's generousity with the Toaster/Flyer sourcecode, MacroSystems could be pursuaded to donate it's MovieShop code to the Amiga community.
