Although the IDE drivers are still in PIO mode and there still isn't any JIT emulation OS4 is very responsive indeed

This is funny ...
Aos4 was 5 times slow (minimum) compared to MorphOs 1.4 (you move yourself 5m near the Aos4 stand to see the Pegasos2 machines? Or are you just one of the million of Aos4 fan that are not able to accept that there is an amiga oriented Os able to run "PPaint faster and with a better stability and compatibility"?)
Not only ... while one of the Pegasos2 NEVER rebboted during the 4 hours I was in the show, the poor AmigaOne collapsed about 10 times, when I was there to see this black screen "feature" ... I cannot image during the other hours.
This is NOT funny ...

In reply to Comment 2 (Alex Deyteur (aka Parsec-VD)):
We will wait until release for these sorts of comparisons. There is no need to feel that there is any bias. As customers we should remain neutral until both products have been tested against each other and then, and only then, will we be in a fair position to make a decision.

It sounds like you attended the show : why don't you post
a few paragraphs here of what you saw ?

For example,

What were the best features of the OS4 demo,
what were the worst ?

I take it you disagree with the "OS4 ready in 4 weeks"
prediction. What is your opinion on when it will be ready ?

If there was a Pegasos a few metres away, what demo
was being shown ?

Well.. At least KDH has quite telling text on their web site..
"The availability date for OS4.0 is not known yet !"

Considering they have been selling OS4 'soon' for last two years ... It's definitely a refreshing change.

Was there a Pegasos on display at the Newcastle demo? There is no mention of it in Ryu's report. The event was billed as an AOS4 demonstration.

Us freelance trolls have a hard time - with the "if you're not with us, you're against us" mentality!

Can I get some of that action?

More seriously... Whew, this is a heck of a week from both sides. (AROS been up to anything lately?) 'Blue Team' takes another opportunity to come off golden and fumbles, with 'Red Team' once again happy to be led anyway, leading to more of the usual... and I hate to bring that up, but it serves as foil for this -- Nobody has the sense to clock the machine to spec for such a public demonstration?

"Eegh." To all of it.

Here's hoping it gets better in the next episode...

I guess he's confused the Newcastle show with Benelux.
