on mailinglist the author comments: "sooner or later you will get A1 OS4 PPC AHI version", and, "I have a contract with Thendic/Genesi since last june or so to receive a Pegasos1/2 but by now I got absolutely nothing from this company except promises. So no test are possible for me and I will do no MOS support in near future." Could this be the killer app OS4 is waiting for?

Has anybody tried to compile for morphos via the (old) m68-based gcc cross compiler? Is it difficult to configure? What steps are necessary to use it with the MorphOS SDK?

Tocatta emulation is all that is required to get OSS to run on MorphOS initially I believe.

I heard someone was working on it but then nothing has shown up about it...

What is needed is a file called "toccata.library" which actually addresses AHI rather than just the Toccata sound card.

A similar spoof library has been made for at least one other specific card.

Such a library would also make Samplitude work.

Actually, that "spoof library" you're talking about is part of the AHI source code since ages (well, two years at least) but I never bothered to port it to gcc. So if anyone wants to do it, just download the source code and port it. Should be a rather trivial task, really.

It would be a great help for Amithlon users, as well as for PPC users.

Did you ever compile it for 68k? If so, where can it be found?

There are no binaries. The libarary currently uses hardcoded audio IDs.

This is quite frustrating as I would very much like to use Samplitude on Amithlon, and later on PPC. OctaMED SS would be useful, too.

I waited for my Peg since 2003 may. I got my machine in 2004. jan. They wanted to send me a Peg1/G3 first, then later it became a Peg2/G4. :) It's a developer machine, i got it for free, so it's worth waiting, IMO.

It would be so easy for me to shout "Genesi broken their promises", in public forums, since they always wrote "next week/month, for sure" as a reply for my mails. But instead i waited silently, and it paid.
