Delaware is a state on the East coast of the U.S. of A. (use Google for more info.) that is often used as a "state of convenience" for companies to register in, due to particular regulations and laws that are less stringent than other states (as received wisdom has it, at least).

Compare Switzerland for anonymous bank accounts, or Liberia for ship registration.

As has been said, being registered in Delaware does not automatically imply nefarious intent, of course.

He appears to be involved with the investors in Amiga Inc, and getting Amiga Inc's DE stuff to work, hence dragging Amiga OS (a distraction) away from them into a new company / IP holding and management company.

I wonder if kmos.com has anything to do with this KMOS. For a start, it was registered in 2000, which isn't exactly yesterday. However it was last updated on the 17th March 2004, which is a strange coincidence.

Delaware bring a "state of convenience" is not because they are a shady state. It is because Delaware is a tax free state. It has something to do with them being the first state to sign the U.S. constitution. Comparisons to Liberia et. al should never be made.

hmmm.. Must buy shares in some popcorn factory.

Since last sunday (where my favourite football team lost 6-1 to nr 2 in DK :( the popcorn industry has expirienced an enormous boom. In most places it's allready sold out and the few shops that still have some in stock are charging premium prices for what used to cost only a few DKR. Same goes for Kleenex btw. :)

Escom would have been really good if they had not gone broke. That's only because they made poor decisions with their PC business, but they were doing as much with the Amiga as we could have hoped for - setting up a company dedicated to the Amiga business, restarting sales of A1200s, opening up new markets for classic Amigas, designing a next generation Amiga (the Walker) and beginning the migration of AmigaOS to PPC. Had they stayed in business, we would have had PPC Amigas years ago...

Apparently you can't discern the info that is important. Authorized shares is 25,000,000 - were the names of the shareholders listed? Or were NO shares outstanding.

Not important to you since you cannot see the significance of such and know what is supposed to be done with listed shares.

I posted the info on the registered agent XL - aim is to find out the corporate officers, addresses and stock disbursement of each.

So who was worse, Irving Gould, Petro, or Bill McEwen?
Petro may have been a fool. He certainly treated some people badly. But Escom was moving in the right direction, taking concrete action like restarting production, while planning for the future. Yes, they sold the A1200 while it was outdated, but there was still some demand for them at the time and the their strategy was to sell them into places like India. But they knew there was no future in that, so they designed the Walker (and built real prototypes) and started porting AmigaOS to PPC. Seems like a sensible approach.
