The backup software BackMan is now available for MorphOS in version 2.0. BackMan had been shareware and is now released as open source under the GPL. The most important change is that BackMan is now available in a native MorphOS version.

The Amiga-68k version is not yet available and will follow later. If somebody wants to help on this issue it could be resolved faster, since it doesn't have priority for me. You will need a gcc setup.

Please note that you shouldn't yet rely on BackMan for your backups. It should have some more testing first to identify possibly remaining porting issues. Getting that testing done is the purpose of this release.

Download, more information and complete ChangeLog is available from http://backman.sourceforge.net/

How about adding some screenshots ? I would like to know how your program looks like before I decide to install it.

Galaxy, well.. it is just a back up tool... And we are talking about an Amiga alike System, not Linux! Doh, the Archiv just has 320k and the Prog could be
easily launched without installing. Hell download those 320k unpack it to your ram disk, have a look on it, and decide whether you wanna install or delete it.

And it even has a nice Mui Gui, well.. where is your Mui Gui for vim? ;D

The RAM: disk is really one of Amiga's strenghts IMO! :-)

This app was very easy to set up and use. Power through simplicity!
Really nice! :-)

Well, if you want a shiny website go ahead and create one. I'll put it online then. I'm not really a webdesigner. What you see right now is the vintage page created back then by the original author.
