Cloanto wishes a peaceful and happy Easter holiday. The new AmigaForever.com site went live today as well. Some work still needs to be done... comments are always very welcome.

And the same to you, Michael.

The new site looks good in IBrowse.

--------------
Well it appears it IS for sale on their web site.

I bought it. Now I can have Amiga OS running on my laptop! Whoopee - means I can use YAM and get my e-mail on the road.

I REFUSE to use Outlook Express - it would only get a virus and then take me hours to clean the mess up. Nope.

Happy Easter to you, too!
Thank you for the wonderful Easter Egg - "Amiga Forever Emulator 6.0"!

We enjoyed a cool Easter Sunrise Memorial Service at Ft. Custer National Cemetery hosted by my Commandery - Battle Creek No. 33 Knights Templar with over 150 souls in attendance. It was our 23rd year of doing so. I still enjoy writing the Easter program handout on my Amiga 2500-040 computer using FinalWriter97, Migraph Scanner, Brilliance, ArtDPro2.5.0

Yes, it would be great to use a MAC or PC laptop to go mobile.

Will there be instructions on how to install the linux self boot version onto a PC so that it boots into the Amiga without needing the CD in the drive?

In reply to Comment 6 (Fabian Jimenez):
Yes, as the footnote at http://www.amigaforever.com/kxlight/ says, such instructions are to be added. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks Richard. Indeed the carefully configured TCP/IP and AWeb in Amiga Forever 6.0 should be very good not only for "safe" email and browsing, but also for browser checking. Even if you don't expect many Amiga visitors, seeing what your site looks like without Java or Flash is always a must do IMHO... Even if instead of running on top of Windows you boot from CD you automaticaly get an IP address via DHCP, and AWeb works without configuration...

The Upgrade and Shop sections should look a bit better/clearer now. Sorry for the rushed update yesterday, the information at amigaforever.com and Digital River was indeed somewhat inconsistent (Amiga Forever 6.0 was already shipping, but it was in part being referred to as 5.3).

Amiga Forever 6.0 itself is expected to be announced later today. This was just a web site update until now... :-)

This looks excellent - order on the way.

By the way, with these references to AWeb and safe browsing, I thought I'd remind people of Cookie Killer, a cookie management tool for Aweb; read about it here, download the archive

here .

(Note the UK URL; I usually use DE or US, but they seem to be unavailable or slow at the moment.)

Hate to do this, but I need to throw a little cold water on
this love fest.

Are there any plans to port this package to OS 4/A1 or OS X?
I don't own a @&%ing Pee Cee and have no wish to buy one in
future. I remember that they have in the past included some
"experimental" version of UAE for PPC, but it has always been
like the poor step child of the X86 versions. I can't use it
if they can't (or won't) properly support alternative archi-
techtures.

I got mine from Software Hut - not even a shipping charge. Just $59.95.

In reply to Comment 12 (Chris Perver):
The web page is getting pretty intensive on the features and what can and cannot be done. to this calls
I'll probably want to have it boot up Amiga OS.
Definately a bargain at $60 I'd say - the programming that must have went into this must have been enormous.
Good to support good companies with EXCELLENT products!
