The Prometheus has a major price reduction! RTL8029 driver source released! May 4, 2004 Effective immediately the new retail price of the Prometheus has dropped to $139.00! Additionally there is a special sale price of $129.00 valid through June 1, 2004!

The Prometheus RTL8029 source code had been released to the public under GPL license.

great! but it would be nice if the files and docs to update the firmware of older Prometheus was available too.

Let's hope more drivers appear soon...

Only if you are extremly enthusiastic about classic hardware. To put the price into perspective, two of these (not very complex) bus boards nearly equal the price of a complete Pegasos with G3 CPU, USB controller, IDE controllers, firewire controller, ethernet controller and AGP slot. And let's throw in a PPC OS, too.

source code: since it seems to access hw from several different
contexts (interrupt, unit task, iorequest sender task) it looks
like there might be missing some Disable()/Enable() protection
every once and there.

Another starving Amiga Classic salesman hawking his wares ;) Admittedly, I wasn't aware that busboards are cool and fun. I always though those are ugly overpriced adapters while Zorro 3 was cool (in its time).

Atleast Mediator PCI busboard is not ugly :) it's cool :) I'm happy with it, but i still would like to have AmigaOne / pegasos too :)
