In reply to Comment 2 (hooligan/dcs):
A person testing on a pegasos2 reported this problem, that when he moves the PIP window, it freezes. He told me that this is a bug in MorphOS, because it happens with other programs also (like moovid).

In reply to Comment 7 (hooligan/dcs):
I don't really recommend you using 68k video players on your system, as I wrote earlier, there seem to be some bugs in MorphOS (most likely emulator bugs) and even if they are fixed, performance of a native MorphOS application would be better than using a 68k Amiga application.

Here's a tip for you: if you register it, you will get the DivX codecs etc.
Then at least all pr0n clips etc. works fine :)

Stephen:

I registered RiVA just two weeks ago. Eh, what do I do to get
the new version? Since you separate demo/registered versions.

There are benchmarks in the AmigaGuide documentation, which is included in the archive, when you download the demo.

yes, but these benchmarks are from the old 0.40 version... as a picassoIV user I would be interested in seeing how well does it work. Do you accept paypal? I saw some time ago in the benchmarks a CSPPC, is it yours? do you plan to release a PPC version? you are a talented coder, so joining forces with Lazlo Torok to add MPEG support to Moovid would be a great idea :-)
Mmmm I tested a demo of your program some time ago... I think it gave me around 8 or 9fps with my picasso4 (in gray, obviously) with sound. I tried to activate the acupak and planar assist options but they didn't work. Are these functions activated in the demo? I tried to use the picasso4.card found in the vgr site that suposedly has accupack support without luck... it would be nice if you included (asking first to the p96 authors, of course) the file. And stated the rtg.library, picasso96.library & monitor versions you use...
But I sold my 060 and I'm stuck with a 040... I'm waiting a CSPPC to arrive so hopefully I'll be able to test the demo soon. Do you know if your program is faster with a soundcard than using paula? I have a concierto.
I would like something around 18fps fullscreen with medium sound on a 060/50 using PIP and 16bits with decent files (music videos, etc)... I use scsi harddisks but I spected better perfomance from an MK2 060/60 and my picasso4... well, don't take this as a negative critic... the memory bandwitch of a mk2 seems to be smaller than MK1 or MK3... so there's little we could do... I hope my CSPPC can do better

My CSPPC recently died, so I'm stuck with an A3640, I could only provide 040 benchmarks and I don't think many people would be interested in that :) As far as I know the Concierto is quite a slow sound card. I would be interested to see how it performs, but I doubt that AHI will ever be faster than using the normal audio.device regardless of how good your sound card is. This latest version of RiVA has quite fast accupak mode, which does not need planarassist (it's much faster than the planarassist accupak mode).
