Sorry about the links btw.. I did put them in properly first, but it
didn't work.. turned out it was because the tag must be submitted on a
single line. But when I discovered that I had already messed up two of
the links.
Anyway you can click on the first link and then on the big "PUSH" logo
to the left of that page. |

Posted by nyarlathotep on 19-May-2004 05:01 GMT | In reply to Comment 8 (hooligan/dcs): liar ;)
when i sold my pegasos, the ambience was more like:
- we dunno when peg2 will be available again, you missed the first production? serve you well ;) now you have to wait.. months
- you want to know how well morphos will be in its next release?
if at least it is finaly a bit more stable ;)
if x or y bug were corrected,
and what will be, what features will be in next version?
answer: you'll see when it's done .
so don't tell me idunnowhat ;)
i can read even on this thread ppl are quite surprised to discover amitcp have been done. evidence they didn't knew about it.
the fact is mosteam ppl are playing a top secret game ;)
and it sux |

Give me a break. What exactly do you expect, daily press conferences?! They release free updates to MorphOS every once in a while and at that point you learn what is new. Pretty normal procedure for developers: release, promote. Obviously a few developers do it vice versa and release features before the actual product (like WinUAE). While that doubles exposure of your product's features, as a user, I find it highly frustrating to learn what I could have but can't have. The MorphOS team could deal better though with pressing issues and uncouple bug fixes from the normal, slow upgrade cycle. |

Posted by nyarlathotep on 19-May-2004 13:10 GMT | In reply to Comment 10 (Anonymous): yes, but
no no and no!
they're wrong. they have to adopt a normal open behavior.
amigan had rights to know what they're up to, on what are they working.
otherwise, users are like waiting in darkness hoping in something they don't even knows how it will be. how stupid ;)
i'm not going to wait blindlessly.
i have to know for whhat i'm waiting for. it's normal.
even if there is troubles on schedule (there always have some)
but at least we know where we are going!
this is fundamental.
"'you'll know when it's done ?!! " who do they think they are ? |

Posted by nyarlathotep on 19-May-2004 13:21 GMT | In reply to Comment 11 (nyarlathotep): what they do is microsoftish behavior.
don't care about users.
act on their own, considering users like shit.
i don't want dailly press announcments,
but at least they should describe the path they'll intent to follow.
like announcinng first officialy a release date (even if some problems occur) and then what is planned in next release.
and then time to time they should (not mandatory but highly appreciated:) they have to show us how things are progressing well.
just time to time.
and not having us waiting without even knowing when mos1.5 will be there for exemple, and what's finally inside.
coz, we should have known that from quite a while already! |

Posted by Van_M on 19-May-2004 21:04 GMT | This thread proves that some people can complain about virtualy ANYTHING! Just let the good folks at Genesi do their jobs and deliver the goods...
does anyone know how big the current userbase of Pegasos/Morphos is? Not how many Peg1's & Peg2's are sold, 'cause some users have more than one. |
