German Interview with Elena : Comment 1 of 8 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Christophe Decanini on 19-May-2004 15:09 GMT | "We will thank Helena for this great interview."
Elena, not Helena.
She looks to be against the standards and I like it: i'm pretty much this way :)
After all, MorphOS is the alternative for AmigaOS which is an Alternative for MACOS which is an alternative of Windows. How much more alternative can you be ? ;)
However I beg to differ for GCC and free software good for the market. GCC is required for some important project where we have no alternative (even more when using C++). As for free software they are required in a good mix with commercial software. If there was only free software it would not be good for the market (To have a market there is a need to have commercial applications with appropriate documentation, support, dealers etc, free software has some serious support limitation for end users products (as seen with some linux free aplications)). |

German Interview with Elena : Comment 5 of 8 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Bobson on 21-May-2004 12:13 GMT | In reply to Comment 3 (Michal): I wont be as rude as the person above - but, IMHO your interviews always contain a lot of irrelevent questions - and personal ones at that.
What relevance is there in your questions pertaining to her being a female? Also why ask her questions about her love life? You need to tighten things up, asking questions which matter. |

Posted by cecilia on 21-May-2004 15:03 GMT | In reply to Comment 5 (Bobson): well, as someone who WAS asked these questions, let me say i was not offended. and, let's face it, persons of the female gender are unfortunately not as common in this arena as I think they should be.
So, we have to address this issue one way or the other. I tried to be intelligent about it and I hope i succeeded.
plus, when one is female and in this situation, she had better learn to handle this. You can't live in the real world and be made of glass. |

the characterizations are yours, not mine. fortunately, i can think for myself and don't fall for such silly nonsense.
a computer is a tool. i treat it like i would my oils, my, airbrush, my colored pencils, etc.
as only the pegasos is available for actual hands-on touching, it's impossible to say which one would "prefer".
but once OS4 is out, then I could say how i like it and how it feels to me.
i'd bet that I could still get OS4 to be more productive that those who like to spend time trashing others, however. |
