Could somebody please lock this clown away? It's their choice to choose a moment for making news, get over it or get lost.

In reply to Comment 2 (nyarlathotep):
For the same reason they didn't announce anything about 1.4 (in terms of features, except the JiT).
1) If they announce some features and there is a problem with one just before
release, they would get flamed.
2) When 1.4 was released, it was a TOTAL surprise for most people, it was *MUCH*
better than 1.3. The element of surprise is always valuable.

don't insult others or i'll insult yu too, i'm not a clown but just someone like you who is speaking about his opinion on a forum made explicitly for this usage.
i've been polite, and just expressing my thoughts...

free speech is a bad thing for you?
'want some books to burn?
..looking for some students to beat em up? would it make you feel better ? ;)
you can't censure ppl for just free speech ;)

i get your point of view..
but for me, it's not working. i don't want that surprise effect ;)
well, yes i do, what i really don't want is to see mos team working in silent more. because of instinctive idea telling me: what are they hiding ? what do they want to hide? why don't they just speak?
because this situation of silence between developpers<->users isn't normal.

It is TOTALLY normal. In the real world, that is. Apple only operates this way. People are informed about new products when they are available, NOT before.

That there is at least some basic information before the update is finished, should be enough. There have been too many "announcements" of Amiga-related companies in the past which made people enthousiastic, but eventually failed to materialize. It's time to break that tradition.
